If it wasn't for Diana, it would've taken a whole day, and a sizable moving crew, to set up a base of operations without ruining the ancient site. The Acropolis of Themiscyra was the highest citadel built, but it was smaller than the ones in Assos and Pergamon. And not to mention, much of the structures were left undisturbed including a fairly large temple that caught Diana's attention.
