I mean, Star Wars without the force is like a western without gunslingers. You'd be better off coming up with your own original universe IMO. 

Here are my two cents: Whenever I think a video game is cool, but there is a shit-ton of content already that you have to catch up on, it really puts me off. Maybe all you need is to wipe the slate clean and start fresh?

I'm more for an original universe/world though.
