[@CalicoNextDoor] Um... check out the opening post to see the fate of Coast City. As far as the concept, take away the ring and any connection to the emotional spectrum and just go with the power gem or stone or whatever it was originally. A lot of times I'll write out the Lanterns because their rings are too powerful, and when they made the rainbow assortment of Lanterns in the comics even characters who didn't have rings before were now almost carbon copies of the Green Lanterns. 

So yeah, a reworked Sapphire would be dope. But it does need reworked.
