It never mattered if the job was as simple as helping the elderly or finding a lost pet but what truly mattered was that he found a purpose besides hiding from the world. These people had needed him from the beginning but it was never enough for the swordsman because he felt like he was never truly getting closer to becoming a true hero until the moment he stood tired and hurt with allies all around him, and he realized that even if the groups came up with something to tell the Admiral she wouldn't give it a second thought. Frog knew he would sacrifice himself in order to save anyone in his protection as it's what his mentor the hero Cyrus had done during the battle atop Denadoro Mountain when his friend took the brunt of the ripping unholy winds their enemies conjured. But he had been the one to be saved yet again and not once but twice from both the warrior's he was walking alongside out of the Bismarck with. Although small as it had been the spores that Ace Cadet threw had saved his life but then came along the pointy earred youth Link whose own safety was risked by helping Frog stay on his feet without succumbing to his wounds, and upon nearly tasting the kiss of deaths embrace the very individual he had fought to protect saved him from death. But it was when the boy stepped forth after Frog staked his entire reputation to save these people whom he had just met, that the amphibious swordsman nearly lost his composure. Frog easily hid his shaking as he fetched the remnants of his dented golden shield but his eyes were filling with tears that he quickly blinked away. He walked in silence between both Link and Ace before stopping entirely as he stared down at the broken remains of his shield then his two companions apprehension in his posture. In the broken reflection of his shield he could see himself as the man he had once been but didn't let his gaze linger. Looking between his two companions the amphibious swordsman with pain in his eyes and asked "Hath I failed mine duties?" [sup][@Gentlemanvaultboy], [@Yankee], and [@Lugubrious][/sup]

New Balance: 18/20 EXP
