steampunk describes an old fashioned world of the past, but with technology ahead of its' time. 

like, it's the 1920's but with gadgets you would see today for example. 


or it's 1880 and they already have steamboats and such. 





And so, medieval combined with steampunk would be that. 
A medieval world but with gadgets and such ahead of its' time.
