She was sore and tired, but not absolutely exhausted. Kalie had exerted all of her energy to bring down the demon; Benkei was having a panic attack. She was certain the rest of the group would rejuvenate them soon enough. “We’re stuck here.” Hanako said in the annals of her head. “What if the hack gets worse? What if they can’t fix it?” The thought was something Rael thought about as she leaned against one of the room’s walls to brace herself. Her eyes moved to Priscilica as the large doors to the control room opened and the pink-haired spellcaster wandered inside. She was glad there was no more surprises, but even Rael was on edge. Part of her was disappointed that the battle was over but that was a part of her that was in opposition to her body and her mind. Hanako, Rael... and whoever she was now. She supposed the way she thought and acted was divorced between the two, like an amalgamation. There was no real reason to roleplay in the new landscape of the world and it was a world she was going to have to get used to. “You’re thinking it, too, aren’t you?” She said as people rushed to Benkei's aid, “How this could be it.” She crossed her arms after she leaned her spear against the wall. There was an aching part of her mind. Why wasn’t she scared? Why did she want to keep fighting? What was wrong with her? It ate at her like an acid, though she did not show this anxiety as she did so. But this time it wasn't out of keeping up the appearance of looking cool; this time it was out of numbness.
