So, I have to be honest with you on this one: I don’t really like this. At all.

I’ll be the first to admit personal bias, but considering the inspirations I’m working with, I’m uncomfortable with such a cynical character. Yes, I know there’s a [i]gas attack[/i] in the backstory alone, but the tone of this tale is supposed to be more hopeful, if not necessarily upbeat. Reading your submission just made me feel... defeated.

I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can accept this, not in this state. I know you said you’re unfamiliar with Spider-Man lore in general, so it might not hurt to brush up on it more before trying again.
