Carolina sat in her room with a notepad in her lap, with some earbuds in her ears listening to some music as she did a little bit of drawing. She leaned back slightly as she relaxed after the whole thing with Loki Carolina didnt really want to play any kind of Jumanji game or even watch the movies either. Carolina was glad that no body died during the fight with him especially Neil. She reached over and grabbed a cup of water on her bedside table, she stretched slightly setting her notepad down she was a bit hungry and wanted to go down to the kitchen and grab something to eat. 

There was a gentle knock on Carolina's door. Neil took a deep breath. [color=12ABB0]"Carolina, it's Neil,"[/color] he called out. He had just gotten off the phone with his aunties, learning that there was a bit of a family crisis going on and that they needed him to come home right away. He didn't know how long he would be gone for, but it meant he'd need to take a leave of absence from the X-Men - and he couldn't just leave without telling Carolina goodbye in person. He owed her an explanation. 

Carolina paused for a moment as she pulled out her earbuds hearing a knock on her door, she heard Neil's voice and smiled as she quickly opened the door seeing that Neil was indeed standing there and quickly wrapped her arms around him pulling Neil into a hug. [color=cyan]"Hey Neil how are you?"[/color] She asked.

Neil hugged Carolina back, his face flushing slightly. She was his best friend, and while he didn't think of her in a romantic way, he was a bit of a sheepish person regardless. [color=12ABB0]"I'm okay. My family's in trouble,"[/color] he said, getting right to the point as he let go of her. [color=12ABB0]"I have to go home - I don't know for how long, but... I wanted to say goodbye to you in person."[/color]

Carolina let go of the hug and looked at him when he said that his family was in trouble. [color=cyan]"What kind of trouble?"[/color] She asked, she wasnt sure what kind of trouble his family was actually in. She didnt want to see him leave but she knew that family was always important. [color=cyan]"Is there anyway I could help?"[/color] 

He sighed slightly, not really wanting to explain what was going on. When he let Sara in on the sort of life his family led, she had run screaming. He still hadn't heard from her since. [color=12ABB0]"It's..."[/color] he hesitated, trying to think of the simplest way to explain all of this. [color=12ABB0]"You know how everyone in my family is a witch, except for my parents, they're sorcerers? And me?"[/color] he prefaced.

Carolina watched as Neil hesitated and gently reached over to hold his hand in a friendly comforting way. [color=cyan]"I remember you mentioning that."[/color] Carolina said, she remembered the really messy breakup that Neil and Sara had. 

He gave her hand a slight squeeze. [color=12ABB0]"Well, my cousin botched a resurrection, angering Baron Samedi, and now every Spellman who has ever died has returned from the grave to hunt her down,"[/color] he explained. [color=12ABB0]"I have to go help them, and I can't ask for you to put yourself in that kind of danger... I don't know how long it'll take. It could be weeks to get everything resolved."[/color]

Carolina met Neil's gaze as he gave her hand a slight squeeze, it really did sound serious she wasnt sure what Neil's cousin had actually done it wasnt really her area of expertise. But she wasnt a stranger to danger at all, she survived being in a jungle cause by Loki's stupid game just a few days prior. [color=cyan]"I'm used to all of the danger though kind of on a daily basis you know."[/color] She said giving him a smile. [color=cyan]"Want me to at least come with you to your family's place?"[/color] She offered she at least wanted to spend a little bit more time with Neil before he left.

He bit his lip - the last person he had brought to meet his family had run off in terror. [color=12ABB0]"...Are you sure?"[/color] Neil asked her. [color=12ABB0]"If the zombies don't scare you off, the Black Mass might,"[/color] he said softly. 

Carolina gave him a smile and nodded, she had gone through a lot already and had almost died back in Coventry all those years ago to. [color=cyan]"I'm sure I dont scare easily you know. Also someone has to make sure that you are safe to."[/color]

[color=12ABB0]"The Professor thinks I can self-resurrect two more times,"[/color] he told her, smiling slightly. [color=12ABB0]"But... I'm glad that you'll be there with me."[/color]

[color=cyan]"I'll make sure that you dont end up dying this time then so that wont happen."[/color] Carolina said and smiled and leaned forward and gave Neil a kiss on the cheek. [color=cyan]"Just let me get a few of my things packed up."[/color]
