As the group reacted to the events around them, it appeared the day was only just now beginning. It was still early in the afternoon and the heat wasn’t going away. For some people, it was the kind of sweltering heat that broke you. Made you mad. It was hard to think straight and that wasn’t accounting for the stress of losing people or the glitch basically telling you that this was it.

Thorinn had yet to be hurt too much by it, but Benkei’s group was not the only ones to be swept up in arguments and escalations with denizens. They would not be the last.

The Thoros River ran through the Red District all the way to the Waking Sea where Thorinn’s precarious harbor stood overlooking the great bed of water.

Benkei’s feelings were tense and emotions were running high after the standoff between Kazuki and Graves. People had went their separate ways for the time being and he had found himself sitting on the road overlooking the riverbed as people and carts went by him every few seconds. There was a melancholy as a school of red snapper swam forward—how many had he caught? It wasn’t a huge thought as a peppy, but beaten female voice came from behind before the appearance of a girl not too much shorter than him took a seat next to him.

If Benkei looked at the girl at first he might have thought it was Priscilica, but it wasn’t. Another girl with sharp pink hair and a similar voice. He’d never seen her before.
