The Valeyard rolled his eyes with a tired sigh.

He shifted his attention back to Ash.

It's a weapon, not a scanner, and unless you fancy a hole in your chest I advise you not take any actions that give me cause to use it."[/color]

With that warning made, the Valeyard fell silent as he surveyed the surrounding land, committing each of the shops to memory. While the inhabitants of Sol-3 were woefully primitive, there were still uses for some of their things, as the ramshackle devices composed by his previous incarnations could attest.
