Can't wait for an adventurer to stumble in there, mwhahahaha. [@Dark Cloud] 2d6! Right now the Creatures will engage the adventurers straight away, which on one hand means more damage to adventurers, but on the other hand puts these kobolds in more danger. You could put them after the maze but before the sanctum - the maze will split up adventuring parties so they'll be more likely to take on an individual rather then a party if you do that. If they're on the path to the Sanctum the adventurers are guarenteed to have to walk past them sooner or later if they want to reach the hoard. But if you wanted to prioritise your Creature's safety above all else you could put them on the path to the Mine or an empty path, because only few adventurers are likely to stumble out at each of the Mine's exits. Those are all the options, anyway, if that helps!
