The majority native population of Khudara. The Humans of Khudara are a hearty and pious people who put a great emphasis on family, music and dance.

[u]Vaala[/u]

A fearsome race of beastmen native to the island of Valhari, the Vaala are renowned for their strength and skills in combat. In the times of the old Mage-Kings, the Vaala served as a dedicated warrior caste, acting as their foot soldiers in their wars against one another.

The Vaala, now free of the old Mage-Kings, take on whatever professions they see fit, to embrace their newfound freedom of choice, many becoming soldiers for hire as they engage in mercenary activities through the mainland, serving whomever pays the most coin.

The vaala lifestyle centers around clan-like groupings known as "Streaks", Vaala Streaks are usually ruled by both a Matriarch and Patriarch as equal partners, in addiction to this, Men and women of the Vaala can often be found fighting together, side by side in the fields of battle. Streaks can range from a few dozen members, to numbering in the thousands.

The old masters of Khudara. The Drauvani are a race of tall mystics that have a heightened affinity for magic, which they see as their pride and strength. Although their mastery of magic is seamless, the Drauvani are a hopelessly frail race, and could be easily overwhelmed by a group number of foes if possible. Before their fall from grace, the Drauvani were a harsh society, putting a great emphasis on ones ability to wield magic. Many of their kind were born without the gift, some were caste out on the fringes of society, left to rot in the gutter, some with strong family bonds, however, were met with a more unpleasant fate.

Tales from the mainland spoke of a way for one to gain the gift of magic, a method the Drauvani were quick to use for select individuals. The outcast would go through a series of painful, traumatic torture to trigger the gift, many, to none's surprise, would die in the process, very few surviving the ordeal. After the fall of the Mage-Kings, the Drauvani slowly, but surely became more tolerant of the non-mages among their kind.

The Drauvani, unlike the Vaala, are a more patriarchal society, men claiming high-level positions, however, this does not prevent women from participating in other vital, if more low-level roles.

The elven population of Khudara consist of two groups, the native Praachi Elves, and the descendants of mainland refugees fleeing to the island after the Empire's fall, followed by the bug invasion. Centuries later, the Mainlander Elves have immersed themselves into Khudaran culture, while still preserving their own in select communities. The years of co-existing with the human natives has also resulted in some cross-breeding between the two races, giving rise to a significant half-elf population on the island. 

The Praachi Elves, one of the few elven races to exist outside of the Old Empire's boundaries, were a secluded people that often kept to themselves on their island. Once the Old Mage-kings arrived, however, their life in isolation was put to an end, their affinity for magic, a rather common elven trait, was much desired by the Kings, many conscripted into their armies, others as personal advisors, and other sorts of servile roles. Once the Kingdom rose in place of the old Mage-kings, the Praachi Elves, like the Vaala, were free to do whatever they choose to do.

[u]Ashveera[/u]

A subrace of the human natives of Khudara. The Ashveera are said to be blessed and made in the image of Mavaru, Goddess of Life and Fortune. Because of their cultural status, Ashveera are often found acting as high priests within the Khudaran religion. A select number of Ashveera have also branched out into more combat-oriented professions, be it serving in the King's armies or as mercenaries.
