Here's the fourth member of the new villain team. Let me know if there's anything I should change or add. Gender Female, she/her Age 22 Date of Birth January 2nd Physique Standing tall at 6'4, Mallory is a gaunt, imposing figure made of ropey muscle. She has a narrow, pretty if asymmetrical face, when it isn't twisted into a scowl. Or falling apart because of her powers. She has long ratty brown hair. Her favorite hoodie is black with a red arrow design. Besides that she wears tank tops, jeans, and sneakers. Blood Type B- Occupation Villain Side Villain Affiliation ??? Tier A- Personality Mallory is an impulsive, volatile, and angry young woman. Most likely the result of some undiagnosed mental disorder. Her rage is her most defining feature, the centerpiece of her life. Every single waking moment she's thinking about the next time she'll fly off the handle. As such she is quite the miserable person. Even when she isn't freaking out she's irritable, consistently pissed off, always ready for a fight. She's willing to intimidate, beat, and kill to get what she wants. And what she wants is money and power. A lot of it. She desperately hates poverty and after a life time of struggle has recently decided to dive head long into the life of being a villainess. Because fuck it. Mallory hates the world and most people in it. She doesn't trust easily. She's violent, brutal, ruthless. This would be the same, regardless of her tantrums. She doesn't enjoy hurting people (unless it's particularly cathartic), but it's the primary tool in her toolkit. When she isn't consumed by wrath and madness, she's practical and effecient. If things are going to get done, they need to be planned out. A plan to stick too can also help Mallory keep her grip on herself. On that fucking itch at the base of her skull that compels her to destroy. When she's in an incredibly rare good mood, Mallory is low-key. She prefers to keep to herself. Her rage isn't something she's proud of. She's got a gruff personality and a lot of world experience. If she's with a friend she can take a joke and dish some out, too. She likes collecting comic books, fixing motorcycles, and petting dogs. Big ones. Like her. And really old stories, about really old gods. Ask her about mythology sometime. Or follow her on a secret trip to the library. But there's a darkness and a guilt that constantly looms over her. It's likely that the thing she hates most in this world is herself. Backstory Born dirt poor, almost literally on the streets of Castleburg. There's not much to say about Mallory's early life. She was kicked out of school after school until she stopped going entirely. Her mom didn't care and quickly gave up on her. She's gone now, not that Mallory cared. The only person who ever actually seemed to care for Mallory was her old man, Timothy Doyle. Tim was a loser, and he spawned a loser daughter. Whatever. Mal wasn't gonna hold it against him. At least he stuck around. He's chronically sick, wimpy, basically a welcoming mat because he lets people step on him all the time. Metaphorically, but Mal probably imagines someone has actually stepped on his face, too. So, yeah. Mal fell into crime pretty quick. She needed the cash, and she didn't see any other options. The laughable "youth outreach centers" certainly wouldn't have her. Not like she could blame them, though. Mal did a brief stint in juvy, and when she got out, she kept doing crime. Fell in with a gang. Again...whatever. The years drifted on. When she got her powers, she literally became a monster. But they helped her do crime. So she kept working. Stealing. Protection rackets. Security work from the contacts in her old gang. Her career became something she could be proud of. She wasn't going to jail again. She was gonna make something of herself. But her old man got sick. Sicker than he ever had. They needed money, fast, for the payment. Mal realised how much she liked him. Guy was the only one who tolerated her presence. Even if he was a total wimp, she'd do her best to help him out. Hell, maybe even because he was a total wimp..? It didn't matter. She wanted to step up her game anyway. So it was time to graduate from criminal to villain. Villains (villainesses?) had villain names. They had a villain outfit, and did schemes, not crimes. They had a lair, not a hideout. And they weren't afraid to put themselves out there and get shit done. The name Lyssa came to her one night when she was hanging out in the library. It was...fitting. The Greek goddess of mad rage, fury, and even rabies. Why not? If she would serve any god, it would probably be that one. It worked for her. Thus, Lyssa hit the streets, committing a series of low stakes crimes, battling some shit-tier Heroes and getting away with it. Still, she wasn't satisfied. She needed more money, fast. Fortunately, she was about to get a lucky break... Power String Power: Her creativity stopped after she came up with a name. What the Hell else was she gonna call it? She can turn her body into string. The string is pure white, a few centimeters thick, and very durable and strong. And she's full of it. Not so much full of it as much as she is made of it. And she has a high degree of control over the strings in her body. When she has all of them inside her they grant her extra durability and strength. Other than that, she's got 62,000 CM's of string to work with. She's...malleable. She can stretch her limbs by separating her arms and connecting them only by some string. She can make holes in herself. Bend herself in unnatural ways. It's pretty great. It looks a litle gross, especially if you have trypophobia. If the string is cut, it bleeds. And whatever the string was made of carries the blood with it. So if the used the string of her arms, her arm would get cut. If she completely converted herself to string, the string that makes up her heart might get cut. Then it's game over. If she converts any of her senses or her head into string, she loses access to that sensation. The only thing that stays is touch, and the strong is very sensitive. One thing to keep in mind- she is made of ONE string. If it gets cut, it's gonna hurt. Still useable, but less so. It's much easier to just twist it together and send it out. Mal also knows how to handle herself in a fight. She's been in her fair share. ** OTHER- Likes beer. Not an alcoholic. Doesn't keep much on her. But she can create pockets of string and store objects inside her body. Kind of gross, though. She's straight. Not exactly been with a lot of guys, though. The reasons are obvious, aren't they? Would love to own a dog. Thinks she'd make a terrible owner. But she'd actually do okay.
