I appreciate the explanation, I like to just make sure the setting and characters align so we're all on the same page. My concern wasn't that he [i]wants[/i] to do great things, simply that he may not have knowledge of previous experiences thus no aspiration to beat an obstacle that he wouldn't be aware of otherwise. I know ultimately it falls to the GM's discretion. I don't mean to rock the boat because I know I don't have any power or say over anyone else here, especially the story or world. All I meant was to offer some input while at the same time clearing up my own expectation.
