I’m really no good at drawing maps. 3. The best drawing program I have is MS Paint so I did this analog style the best I could on the only paper I had. Please forgive any mishaps or mistakes. 4. First real note. Centerpoint Mountain is the highest point of Trazie at 9,000 meters above sea level. The rest of Trazie slopes down in a set of graudly descending mountains, then hills, then plains. 5. Anything blue is water. I did not fill in the ocean. 6. Anything green is a forest. Most of it is temperate deciduous forests, but Rainforest Island is a rainforest. [s]I know I said Trazie didn’t have a rainforest, but I changed my mind. There is a reason I promise.[/s] 7. Anything brown is a plain. 8. Anything yellow is beach/coastal areas. 9. The red brown (10) is the Cliffs of Insainty. This is a sheer cliff face with a waterfall cascading down it. 10. None of the rivers have names. I’m not creative enough to think of names for all of them in one sitting. I’ll come back to this. If I remember. 11. The Mountain Lake are located on the eastern bank of Mountain Lake 12. This is not to scale. This is so not to scale. 13. I think that’s it. I may amend this as I think of more.

The planet Trazie orbits a yellow star at the far end of the habitable zone. The gravity is 0.95 Terran Standard. The First Terran Empire terraformed it and created a single continent, also called Trazie, in the Western Hemisphere. The atmosphere is 0.03 trace elements, 1.02 percent argon, 23.62 percent oxygen, 75.33 percent nitrogen. The continent of Trazie is approximately 8500 kilometers north to south and 2000 kilometers east to west. There is a strip of mountains roughly in the center of the continent. Near the eastern most point there is a cove with a series of islands in it. Trazie lacks a desert, a rainforest, and artic. It is mostly plains and Temperate deciduous forests. There are four roughly equal seasons. Trazie has one tidally locked moon so the moon always appears quarter full. The year is 259 days long and the days are 28 hours long. Trazie was terraformed in the last peaceful years before the arrival of the Scourge. The fighting was limited there, but the people’s survival was mainly due to the fact that there was no prominent military presence. At one point most technology failed. Now, close to a thousand years later, the people have developed an agrarian tribal society. There is no real centralized government and a few different calendars. Right now, it is agreed that it is the 50 years from the eclipse. There are several tribes including four major tribes, Southern, Northern, Coastal, and Mountain. There are also countless midsize and smaller tribes. There is a rough agreement of peace and mutual survival.

Trazie was terraformed as a resort planet. This included mountains for things such as hiking, skiing, and nature walks, beaches and lakes for lounging, swimming, and exploring, cliffs for cliff jumping, a single rainforest, volcano, and tropical reef for exploring and plains and forests for hunting, camping and being one with nature. Trazie was meant to be a place for the rich and famous to come and play. Then the Scourge came. A single military unit was dispatched to help visitors flee. The corporate employees were abandoned and all current citizens of Trazie are their descendants. Trazie didn’t not completely escape the Scourge’s attention but was largely ignored as it had no military or political value. There is no real war in Trazie’s history. Most people were focused on surviving and reinventing fire after most technology suddenly stopped working. They quickly lost track of the Terran Empire’s calendar and adopted their own and altered it whenever and however they saw fit. It wasn’t long until the earliest tribes began to form. There are currently four major Tribes. The Northern Tribe is a semi stationary tribe located between the v created by the Northwestern Range and Northeastern Range. The Mountain Tribe is a stationary tribe located in higher elevation of the Northern Range and Circle Ranges. The Coastal Tribe is a wandering tribe that circles Trazie along the coastline in a counterclockwise fashion. The Southern Tribe is the largest and oldest Tribe located below the southern tip on the Southern Range and down towards the southern point of South Lake. There are several midsize Tribes and well as countless smaller ones. Each tribe has their own variation of culture, but Terran Standard is the common language. Once during their history, they were stuck by plague that decimated their population. Currently their population hovers just under five million. Over the years Trazies adapted to the higher oxygen content and lower gravity. When compared to a standard human Trazies have longer limbs, bigger craniums, smaller hearts, and smaller lungs. They are less resistant to illness but tend to avoid getting the bends or altitude sickness. They get drunk faster. They have also adapted to the 28-hour day. Most Trazies required 9 to 11 hours’ worth of sleep though this can range from 6 to 12. Sunlight only last for 12 hours in summer and at some points in the winter only last for 4. As such Trazies have wider pupils to allow for better night vision. While there is a sizable and diverse animal population the biggest threat is bandits. Most Tribes agree to hunt bandits when they are found. Most Tribes also try to avoid conflict. It is generally agreed that as they all have at least one ancestor in common, there are plenty of resources, and it easy to start a new Tribe, should a person wish, there is no need for war. There are a few border squabbles from time to time, but most Trazies prefer to trade for goods and services. There a few rules that are consistent Tribe to Tribe, but for the most part Tribes have their own form of government and rules. There are some people who wander Trazie without being part of a Tribe. While most of these wanderers are would be bandits some are what called Mechanics. During the Scourge higher technology failed. After the Scourge it was possible to get some of it working. Over the years, most people forgot how the now called Old Tech worked. Mechanics are people who attempt to make a living by making Old Tech work to make peoples’ lives easier. Some have an easier time than others at this. A skilled Mechanic who can make Old Tech do exactly what it is supposed to do can travel Trazie or settle down without having to worry about making a living. There are old Tech sites where visitor cabins, administration buildings, and resort attractions used to be. They have not all been found. The Trazie year is 289 days. Turning Day serves as both the last day of the old year and the first day of the new year. This happens in midwinter. Then there are 12 months of 24 days. The months are as follows: Jan, Feb, March, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec. Each month has fourth weeks of six days. The days are as follows: M-day, T-day, W-day, R-day, F-day, and S-day. Winter is roughly Dec, Jan, and Feb. Spring is roughly March, Apr, and May. Summer is roughly Jun, Jul, and Aug. Fall is roughly Sept, Oct, and Nov. While each Tribe has its own holidays all of Trazie celebrates the equinoxes, solstices, and Turning Day.
I hope this all makes sense. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions.
