He didn't typically care one way or the other about the food; tasty as it was, but he was sincerely curious about this crimson standout. Bright red hair, blazing ambitious eyes, and a charming speck-of-something. A clue to a brazen path and mold for his boundless self. Though he still didn't grasp why that was so important... crucial even. Tessa painted a dashing visage of his amnesia touching his memory but not his soul. Said that his need for growth could possibly be lessons from his past-life. "Four years? wow... must've been a huge headache--And wait! a whole year?" he blurted in disbelief. Tessa smiled. The Corporal was indeed a brute, she decided. She brought her hand down on Sirius' crown; the scent of his woodsy shampoo fluttered up. She easily took the aroma in and fell into her usual hominess. "Well that was the plan. The proper protocol actually but I wasn't having too much of that, sure he's been pricked here and there but I kept it more or less... tamed." She glanced down at Sirius, who frowned at the mention of 'pricks'. "Was it that bad, Siri?" A long thoughtful exhale left Sirius. "Didn't get really bad till they found out I was an Innovator. The stress-exercises; I hated those the most... The brain mapping thing was pretty cool though." He played with his food a little. "Still, I'm grateful for being up-and-at-em again. And meeting, Tessa too." "Oh yeah," she agreed with mirth. "The brain-mapping was fun." Tessa had scanned the room before making her way over to Hanson. That was how she had spotted a few associates not too far from them. It was time to give, Sirius a bit of space and collect some in-house information on him. The stage was perfectly set, a rare coincidence that she couldn't miss out on. She ruffled Sirius' hair, taking in the scent again. "In short, Sir, no. I've heard hear-say about some of the methods for examination floating around the colonies, nasty things, but in Sirius' case we were mostly gentle. The most pain we caused him was mental and that just showed us how simple he is." Finally removing her hand, she thumbed her gaggle of associates. Their conversation a slow, muted, churn in the noise. "Gonna see if they know anything about anything. Some of these 'scientists' are just floaters." Sirius leaned back and eyed the group suspiciously. "Yeah, sure. Meet'cha later, Tess." Tessa smiled and tapped off towards the group. Sirius twisted back around to Hanson, once again ignoring the feeling of something not being quite right with Tessa. Crossing his arms, he fell into the curve of his chair. "Truth be told those 'exams' were pretty harsh. But its the feeling of loneliness that really got me back then." He focused in on Hanson then, a question squeezing him closer to the table. "Y'know I heard its common but when I got into the seat of a mobile suit, it felt like something was calling me from my past." A soft smile pulled his lips. He seemed childishly giddy, his hands grasping something invisible hanging inside his palms. A short pause later and he was leaning into his seat again, a little-less giddy and a bit-more collected. "Like its ridiculous but I think its really neat to feel that way. Like 'something' is reaching through the past looking for me." "So four years? were they fun?" he asked lighthearted.
