He'd realized he was fucked from the moment he'd felt something on his ankle. Careening face first into the ground just confirmed it. He was about to eat complete shit. 

And as the meteor impacted, that turned out to be completely true.

Pain. Despite having his pain threshold settings turned down, the impact still hurt like hell. Seeing the damage done to his health bar was thankfully not as bad. All that, and it had only taken out half his HP? Fuck it. He still had enough to keep going for now.

Of course, that didn't change the fact that his legs were trapped under rubble. Crap. And to make things worse, the mines weren't armed yet. The oni was right on top of them, presumably looking for him, but clearly hadn't found anything yet. Well, there was only one thing to do in this situation. 

Amulak went limp, playing dead. Three seconds until the mines went off. Even if the oni saw him, it'd still need to take time to wonder if he was out of the fight, and that'd hopefully be enough for his spell to detonate.
