I've been RPing for all of my adult life across various platforms... forums, then I moved to Tumblr, now I'm mostly on Discord. I'm looking for partners that want to do some low-stakes casual or free RPs on Discord. I require all my partners be 18+ with decent grammar but that's just about it. I prefer playing male characters for the most part, and most of the characters I play are at least a little gay because [i]*gestures vaguely at self*[/i]. I like fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and romance, and I especially like taking characters that we previously used in a fantasy, sci-fi, or horror RP and transplanting them into a coffeeshop AU. 

I don't really have a lot of hard and fast rules, to be honest. I just like playing around with characters and plots! Those times when you stay up late chatting with someone because you came up with a really fun plot together... or a devastating situation to put some characters in! Just good times, good vibes, good fun.
[center][h3]OCs[/h3][/center]These guys are super adaptable to whatever situation because I've been playing with them for a while, and I love putting them in whatever new and unusual situations we can come up with. I don't like putting complete bios for the characters, because I hope that the details will change depending on what we can come up with together, but I'll do my best to capture their ~vibe~

Jake. Ah, Jake. Jake is my angst and gay panic character, poor guy. Usually he's some kind of detective or FBI agent, so he gets into fun mystery or horror situations that way, but the core of the character is definitely in the personal angst. He's a very good detective or agent because he has OCD - he's observant and a stickler for details - but his OCD also gives him an issue with perfectionism. He wants the perfect wife, the perfect family, the perfect life, and he gets anxious when that doesn't happen. Usually he's separated from an old girlfriend who he shares custody of a child with, and usually the plot involves him falling in love with a man and having to come to terms with the fact that there's nothing wrong with that. He's very good in domestic plots, but I'd love to put him in a Twin Peaks-style horror situation (fed meets local law enforcement to investigate a very creepy crime). Maybe him and the local law enforcement fall in love? 

I also have a plot for him where he's actually a character on a procedural cop show, and his actor and their costar fall in love and similar shenanigans happen. The actor is dealing with internalized homophobia onscreen and off as he realizes that the chemistry between him and his costar is undeniable.

Will is the fortuitous and hilarious crossover between Orpheus (you know, from mythology) and ABC's Galavant. Born the daughter of a noble house, she abandoned her land and titles to marry the love of her life and live as a wandering bard. However, just a few short years into their relationship, her girlfriend is kidnapped by a demon and Will follows her to the underworld to save her... only to discover that actually, the love of her life actually likes ruling in the underworld, so she'd rather stay there. Understandably, this breaks her.

Will works in fantasy settings, either during or after the whole abandoned by my girlfriend and trapped in the underworld thing. She's kind of an evil-lite character (spending so much time in Hell is rough on the alignment scale) and I think she benefits more from a corrupting plot than a salvation plot, and also... evil's more fun. Maybe this would be a good place to mention that uh... I like dark themes, but I like them to have some meat on them. I want razing villages to mean something, you know?

Okay, but now that I think about it, buddy cop situation with her and a really dedicated Paladin would be so much fun, too.

Ari grew up a gay kid in a rough home - rural midwest, absent mother, alcoholic father. He ran away and joined the army as soon as he could, but the service treated him badly and he has the scars to prove it. After leaving the army, he moved to New York City and went wild: sex, drugs, you name it, Ari was into it. His only saving grace was falling into House Bohéme - a prominent drag house in the area. 

Ari's story varies wildly from there. Often he's selling drugs and falls in love with a crime boss, sometimes he gets magical powers. I think it would be interesting to do a Romeo and Juliet style conflict between drag houses... or meeting a man that he can pull onto the stage for the first time. Like a reverse Jake, almost.[/hider]
