Ah, peace. At last, This Ones creations were thriving, in what the Evil Cells might consider a hell of sorts. This was It's dominion, uncontested and It's to control. So for a time, The Fire Feeders were left unaltered, as This One was happy to just watch and wonder at what It's creations were going to do next. This, however, proved to create an interesting problem. Those it left untouched began to behave out of It's control, and began to prey on those It tended after much time. While this was unsatisfactory, at least it was only This One's creations squabbling among themselves. This, situation, It thought, could be remedied.. With a greater understanding of The Code, it began to alter those who were still Fire Feeders, and resulted in many failures (much to It's dismay). But, after a time, The Fire Feeders developed a defense of sorts against these new Cells, which it called 'Forgotten': The Fire Feeders could, when threatened, secrete molecules that turn the surrounding water into a viscous slime, slowing down Evil Cells and allowing escape. This effect was not very reliable, as those determined enough could still move through the slime and get at the Fire Feeders, but it was a start. It proved sufficient for a time, and actually greatly enhanced them. So, with new hope, This One's creations started to take on different forms, and were once again, safe.
