[indent]Mei can be described as someone who cares and feels way too deeply. All of her relationships be them familial or romantic are intense in one form or another and she struggles to turn off her empathic nature. Although she tries to hide her feelings behind her clothes and makeup, Mei is ridiculously emotional and does not deal well with her feelings coming to light. She has a dark and biting humour which combined with a heavily flirtatious demeanour can lead to some interesting situations. Mei prides herself on being incredibly disciplined and is someone who can be relied upon to meet a deadline or any goal you set in front of her. [/indent]

[indent]Mei Ramsey was the second born daughter of Will and Shannon with one older sister four years her senior, Reagan. A bright and happy child, Mei found her two passions fairly early on in life, art and gymnastics. Whenever she would get the chance, she would grab a crayon or a pen and draw on the walls, on napkins in restaurants pretty much on any surface that was flat. Mei enrolled into a gymnastics program when she was seven which combined with the martial arts training from her father she had pretty much been given from birth made her a formidable athlete. All the female sports teams wanted her but as she matured she settled in becoming a cheerleader.

When she began attending Edenridge High, Mei quickly found a ground of friends she could trust in the freshmen cheerleaders and an idol in Allison Davies, golden girl of the school. Things were all well and good for the first semester, at least until the night of the winter formal. Allison invited her freshmen squad out to an after party which seemed out of character for the Queen of the school. It was across the tracks in Southie but Ally promised she would look after the girls. Hours later, Mei and a few others were ready to leave but couldn’t find Ally; at least no right away. She was found by her squad foaming at the mouth in a bathroom stall; she was dead at seventeen.

Ally’s death left an indelible mark on the young squad, Mei in particular struggled as she idolised Allison. The young woman turned to her artwork and a new interest in the macabre and gothic but to honour her friend, she remained a cheerleader. The intervening years were peppered with messy relationships and hardcore partying as Mei struggled to separate her logical approach to life with her growing free spiritualism. Senior year was supposed to be the reset button and it was, in one kind of way.

Mei was in the art room when she heard the first scream. She poked her head out of the door and was nearly struck by a sea of terrified students. Not knowing what to do, she locked herself in the classroom and hid herself under a table. Alone and afraid, Mei was ecstatic when she noticed Charlie’s shadow at the door. When she got up to greet him all she heard was a pop and the sound of glass shattering. Luckily, Mei only suffered a graze to her neck and the bullet meant for her had embedded itself in someone’s art project. She didn’t leave the floor until the police came to get her, frozen in absolute terror.

The rest of senior year was a slog and what was supposed to be her redemption ended with Mei barely graduating. After high school, she had little options in the way of colleges so decided to stay in town and began a tattoo apprenticeship in the city. She has done her best to turn her life around but Mei is constantly struggling with the idea of who she is and who she wants to be, it doesn’t help that every time she closes her eyes she sees that damned Charlie...[/indent]
