[indent]Nolan has never been a particularly imposing individual, not quite tall and not quite short, he's always been perfectly average. Nolan is built slender, long-legged and somewhat narrow, he was never the bulky type and it shows. He's quite pale with a smattering of faint freckles along his nose and cheekbones. He has a proportional face with a hard jaw and high cheekbones. His eyes are a faded shade of cornflower blue and they sit beneath expressive eyebrows and dark eyelashes.

Nolan's hair is often kept short and messy, a natural wheat blond. He doesn't appear to exhaust much effort in the maintenance of his hair and as a result it often appears a bit rumpled as if he'd just rolled out of bed. He tends to dress fashionably but comfortably, this means that he doesn't stand out much but he doesn't mind that terribly. He has no tattoos although he can sometimes be found wearing a lip ring.[/indent]

[indent]Nolan is a kind person with a natural empathy towards the people around him. A sweet nature, he seeks to help people with little expectation that they'll help him in turn. He seems to genuinely enjoy doing things for others and often reaches out when he can. His natural inclination towards charity has lead him on the path of philanthropy many times before. He has history of dedicating his time to soup kitchens and animal shelters, even dating back to his years in high school.

Nolan is good-humored about his faults and about the world around him, he seems to cope through making light of the problems he faces. He's often the first to crack a joke amidst a shitty situation, this has the opposite effect he hopes for at times but for the most part it's made him somewhat lovable. Despite these virtues, Nolan is also outspoken to a point that borders on being [i]too much[/i]. He speaks his mind regardless of who cares to hear him and he can be infuriatingly argumentative about his opinions and feelings.

His temper is quick at times but it burns out just as quick. These lapses into irritation have made him say things that he's later regretted but been unable to take back. He's got a bit of a rebellious streak do to growing up with such watchful parents although the rebellion is often harmless. He likes to pave his own path and isn't keen on following in anyone's footsteps. He can be somewhat thoughtless in regards to consequences however and seems taken aback when things blow up in his face.

Nolan can be a bit distant if he doesn't know you well, often giving few details away about himself and refusing to open up about himself or his feelings. He finds it hard to connect with some people, although not for lack of trying. He's extremely prone to anxiety and nervousness but puts up a front like he's not. Some have seen him lapse into this pacing and rocking state but very few. He can be something of a coward, which has not improved since the shooting.[/indent]

[indent]Nolan was born to Edenridge to a pair of parents who had likely lived there their entire lives and life was relatively simple for him. His father was a stern man who liked to keep a close eye on his wife and son and his mother was a kind woman who taught him to treat the world how he wanted to be treated. His childhood was somewhat sheltered do to his father being pretty overbearing but it was not an unhappy environment. He was provided with everything he ever needed or wanted and things were [i]good[/i] in the Santora household.

Nolan grew up kind like his mother but with some of his father's temperamental tendencies. School was somewhat troublesome for the young man from the start, he had little interest in it and as a result, his grades were always sort of shaky. It was not that he was stupid, he just couldn't ever seem to find any enjoyment in what he was doing. In most ways, he was a pretty ordinary student and high school was not something he was particularly intimidated about. 

He thrived socially in high school, made friends quite easily and most kids saw him as confident and headstrong but he often found himself sick with anxiety at social events. He would often disappear at parties, which was written off as disinterest in the festivities. When Allison died, he stopped attending them altogether, even when people asked him to come along.

His anxieties seemed to get worse from there, he was near-paranoid about the smallest things. This was worrying for his friends but through it all, he tried to keep smiling. It was not until Charlie's reign of terror struck the school that he really hit an all time low. Nolan's anxiety became almost unmanageable at this point and he was later administered into home-schooling. He attempted to attend college when he finished his courses, wanting to pursue a career as a chef although this was short-lived. 

He quickly succumbed to what has been referred to as a stress-induced mental breakdown that lead to him hitting a very dark point in his life. He dropped out of college soon after, returned home, and went on to work at a local bakery. He lives a fairly quiet life now but seems to be on edge.[/indent]
