He's depressed, tired, and apathetic. That's not to say he isn't a good person. He's polite, generally nice, but he won't go out of his way to get involved or bend over backwards to help. He does the very minimum to scrape by, both at work and with his life in general. Every day is a clone of the next: wake up, shower, eat, work for 12 hours, go home, lay in bed awake all night, rinse and repeat.
Biography
Orren grew up in foster care, for the most part. He was taken into the system at the age of four, when a total stranger dropped him off at the local hospital with a broken arm and roadrash. His father, a chronically drunk asshole, had thrown him out of a moving car because he was crying. Orren doesn't really remember the incident, or his birth parents. He's been a child of the system since, and his naturally quiet and introvertive nature didn't do him any favors when it came to potential adoption families. When couples would come by to see the kids, he'd be in the corner, reading a book. He never really made friends, except for one: Coralee. She was the girl next door, and his best friend from the day they met. Something clicked, and Orren could never put a finger on it. She didn't pry conversation out of him, she didn't laugh when he'd rather read than go on adventures, and when they did go on adventures, she didn't try to push him beyond his safety zone. She was like a warm blanket in a cold house. He probably couldn't even tell you when they started dating. It just sort of...happened. They progressed naturally from best friends to boyfriend and girlfriend. He was sure they'd be happy together forever, until that day. Orren will never forget, try as he might, the fading light in her eyes as she bled out on the floor, while he cowered helplessly next to her. That day will haunt him forever. And at the rate he's going, he'll likely never move on on his own. Orren graduated and got a job at the 24/7 corner store in town. He found a cheap, run down trailer on the edge of town to rent, and he makes up for not having a life by working it away.
Family
His birth parents are probably either dead or in prison. No siblings to speak of.
Misc.
Orren averages about six to seven hours of sleep a week. As you can imagine, this significantly affects his health and mental function. He's been unable to put on weight, constantly delirious, and will even hallucinate on occasion. He hasn't seen a doctor because he doesn't have health insurance and couldn't afford medicine anyway. Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons Or When it Rains by Paramore
