His right eye is a cold icy blue while the left one is stained a reddish brown. He likes to leave his hair loose generally but he will comb it back during meetings and other high profile attendances. At school or on the job he'll wear the standard uniform provided for the WDL. For social outings he'll wear fine black suits, dressing expensively albeit with little in the way of jewelry or other such tokens of wealth. He likes to look professional without necessarily showing off any degree of wealth since it's all provided for him. He sees little need to visibly demonstrate the WDL's wealth in the form of watches and the like. In casual company he'll dress down, wearing a cool colored t-shirt of some variety and some grey cargo pants. He likes having many pockets which they are good for. Most of his shirts have pockets since he likes having at least one pen and one pencil on him at all times. A couple of additional notes is that, firstly, he typically carries his saber with him to most areas where such an item is permitted. Secondly, he has a scar over his left eye. He doesn't like to talk about it. [b]II. Mental Profile.[/b] [center][b]- Personality -[/b][/center] + On the surface he is a rather friendly albeit reserved fellow. He conducts himself politely and tries to make good with those around him. If others have problems he will seek to help them however he can should they desire the assistance. Regularly he is fairly busy as he likes to study, filling his head with knowledge pertinent to demons and the trials ahead so that he may be better prepared. Rare is it that he's doing something other than reading with his free time. Beneath his facade he works tirelessly towards the goal of the Warriors of Divine Light, that being to destroy demons. He pretend to be friendly and aloof largely as a defense mechanism. He cannot allow himself to grow close to anyone as at any moment their lives may end violently. He cannot afford to care about others until he finds the strength to right what's wrong with the world. On the other hand he cannot be cold to his allies and risk alienating them should he need their assistance. He maintains relationships largely out of job necessity rather than an actual desire to have company. At his core he has suffered a great deal. He is bent for revenge against the one who wronged him and everything around him is an asset, a means to an end. That is not to say he holds no empathy for those around him but he has a bone to pick with one particular demon and all other demons have fallen on his bad side as a result. Still, he'd rather build bridges as opposed to burning them so as long as someone doesn't do something so foolhardy as to try and bar him from his mark he can still work with them. Given his background he is utterly driven to grow in power so he will never be at anyone else's mercy. There is not a thing he feels stronger about than this. While he can assume this form to call this an active ability of his is a bit of a misnomer. It would be more accurate to call this ability "Human Form" since this is simply the process of him reverting to his true self. Upon assuming this form he becomes a completely flat sheet of paper, not unlike a cutout from a poster. His very image becomes a stylized drawing of him self, far more cartoony than his human form. Hard inked lines, striking colors, large eyes, highly expressive expressions and modestly fluid animation. He's the very image of a living drawing though his motion can become somewhat sketchy. While he can assume any likeness he chooses in this form his default state is his last appearance upon the moment of transformation. Any injuries he sustains in his human form will be depicted on his drawing. They won't hinder him since what's printed on the paper doesn't hinder the paper itself. Upon returning to his human form any injuries he sustained prior to his transform will return as well. If the damages made to his paper body aren't repaired before he turns back into his human form though he'll retain these injuries as well, effecting him as though he sustained such injuries in his human form. Anything he can do with paper normally he can do with himself be it changing his shape, growing it, shrinking it or connecting pieces of it to other pieces of paper. While he can use his manipulation of paper to change his body upon transformation he'll resume his human form since it draws from a preset image of him taken upon reverting to his true form, his paper form. + Paper Mastery. The heart and soul of Rick's very being. On top of being made of paper he possesses a spiritual connection to all paper. He can move and alter all paper however he sees fit. The only thing he cannot do is make paper something that it is not. That is to say he cannot make paper possess the qualities of materials that aren't paper. In addition he can only exert force over a single sheet of paper up to the limit of his willpower. This force is not divided by the number of papers he is controlling at once but applied at full to each individual sheet. With this he is connected to all paper. He can inherently feel paper like it was another limb of his, detached but connected all the same. The closer he gets to paper the stronger this feeling becomes and the more refined his control over the paper becomes. Much like his own body he can even imbue paper with magic. He can infuse them with mana and install spells in them that can trigger however he wishes. In order to imbue paper with magic he must touch it directly. Furthermore he can summon forth any paper he has imbued with his magic from anywhere. He can do this with other articles of paper too but the chance of error grows the further his targeted paper is from him. It also takes effort for him to summon paper that he hasn't invested his mana in and that effort also grows the further his desired paper for summoning is. Lastly he can learn anything that was printed on paper simply by touching the paper. Anything that is stored in paper that he touches directly can also be stored in his memory. The more information he tries to store in his brain however the more stress it endures. So long as the original information remains on paper he can recall that information instantly whenever he wishes. If the paper with the information is destroyed however he must remember the knowledge he gained the natural way. This aspect of Paper Mastery is always on by default but he can purposefully suppress his ability to store information upon touching paper should he desire not to. + Voodoo Paper Doll Syndrome. While in his natural form, that is to say his Paper Form, any living being that touches paper that he is inhabiting will suddenly and without any visible effect have a red X emblazoned somewhere upon their body. If he is aware as to what is touching his body Rick can consciously control both the size of this X and where it is placed on the subject's body. If he is not then by default the X will appear directly in the middle of their back and be roughly the size of a human fingernail. If the subject is smaller than a fingernail then the X will be the size of it's smallest body part. So long as this X remains on the subject any damage taken by Rick will be divided in half, the remaining damage taken instead by the X marked subject. If two subjects are marked with Xs Rick instead only takes a third of the damage dealt, the two marked subjects each taking a third of the damage as well. The amount of damage suffered by Rick can be shared by up to ninety nine subjects, all of them suffering a minimum of one percent of the damage dealt. The red X applied to the subject works like a red X drawn on by a red permanent marker. It will wear off over time but cannot be washed off. There are only two non-magical means of removing the red X quickly. One is by removing the section of skin it is applied to. The other mean of removing the red X is with lemon juice. Acquired Magick.[/b][/u] + Elemental Magic: Rick possesses a wealth of knowledge in regards to elemental casting. His spells can range greatly in power and are highly flexible. A lot of his lesser spells are easy to tailor to most situations. He doesn't dabble too greatly in large area covering effects as he often prefers a more focused, selective approach. His main proficiencies in this field are wind and ice, dabbling to a lesser extent in earth and water magic while largely ignoring fire and lightning magic for the most part. That is not to say he can't use any fire or lightning magic however his spell breadth in those fields are greatly limited by comparison. + Illusion Magic: With an individual in the hierarchy who makes this very field their namesake it's no surprise that Rick has taken advantage of this opportunity and grown his understanding of it. He's learned a fair few tricks under the umbrella of this category. Invisibility that also dampens his sound and scent, mirror images that split apart from him and act independently and more. + Mind Magic: Rick did not pursue this field by choice. It simply became a necessity after his mind was compromised enough times. This field is the study and manipulation of the mind, the process through which all sentient creatures manage external data and operate their forms. This field is among the most complex of all studies in magic, seconded only by the most esoteric of arcane studies: The soul, space/time manipulation and mana itself. He's made some progress into this field but it's breadth is great and he has yet to leave the shallow end to this pool of knowledge. Still, he continues to progress his knowledge in this field with definite fervor and he has no plans of stopping. He will become a master of the mind so no other being will make him a victim of this art ever again. + Teleportation: While it might seem a staple of magic the manipulation of space is fiendishly difficult. His study of space manipulation has only thus far yielded this single spell and even then it's still in an experimental state. He can only teleport to spaces within his sight and even then conditions have to be clear in order to best avoid this spell backfiring on him. Too much dust, rain or other particles more solid than a gas will create complications. Needless to say he still has plenty of room to improve in this field. + Soul Magic: He doesn't have any spells in this field as of yet. This segment is simply to denote that he's begun study in this field, largely by merit of it being a focus of the WDL, especially when it comes to the field of combating demons. Still, their knowledge largely pertains to what they've observed as consequence of their use of holy magic. What little they understand is mostly the subject's overlap with holy magic while what he is researching pertains more to the nature of the soul itself and how magic interacts with it. These fears need a source to draw strength from however and Daisy is but one girl with only a few rather specific fears. For the avatars themselves the strength of the fear felt by those around Daisy are taken in upon their shaping. Each avatar of fear possesses unique abilities pertaining to the specific fear it's drawn from. The avatar's power is related to both the strength of the fear it's formed from and Daisy's own magical strength, giving even the lesser fears a minimum to how much power they can possess. This fear takes the form of a black robed reaper who's form is entirely masked in darkness beneath the hooded cloth. This avatar wields a large foreboding scythe which it uses to terrifying effect. For this avatar the physical world is immaterial. It travels by floating, passing through all inorganic and dead matter as though it were all mere shadows. Only living organic matter and matter that is in possession of a soul is solid for the reaper, allowing it to strike at living foes. In addition the reaper can also see the souls of the living, allowing it to see them as far as the eye can see though crowds can still create some diversion. The reaper is skilled with it's scythe and the greater it's power is the larger both the reaper and it's scythe becomes, allowing it more strength and reach with it's greater mass. Additionally the greater the reaper's power is the easier it's blade cuts through living matter. Due to being physically capable of touching living matter however living matter can also strike back too. The lantern which hangs from it's scythe is lit with a blue flame which draws the minds of those who look into it towards thoughts of one's own fleeting mortality. The light also serves to announce the reaper's presence wherever it appears. This fear largely takes the form of living earth, corpses entombed within its body of dirt. Often times the main form of this avatar won't even be seen directly, opting to travel beneath the earth only to reach up with hands of dirt to grab it's prey and drag them beneath the ground, burying them inside itself. Taphophobia travels by gently swimming silently through the earth, scarcely disrupting the environment around it as it is practically passing through the dirt itself. Despite being made of dirt however this being cannot reform from just any dirt. Being shattered and displaced thoroughly enough will result in this avatar's de-animation. This avatar's size grows in proportion to it's power. With greater size Taphophobia can create even larger hands to grasp it's victims and an even greater number of hands to grab a larger quantity of said victims with. This fear takes the shape of a humanoid mass of dark clouds who's grim features only really shine through as it becomes charged with electricity. It starts off with no charge and builds up electricity over time. Once at full charge this fear will discharge it's electricity in a single powerful bolt of lightning which strikes with terrifying power and precision. If it's required to hold onto it's charge past it's max capacity it's excess will manifest as tendrils of electricity which will lash out at nearby surfaces and potential victims, giving out nasty shocks all around. While uncharged it's form is mostly dark clouds which make it nearly immune to all physical damage as well as most forms of energy damage. As it starts to build it's charge however it will need to maintain a more stable form, becoming more tangible as a result. Past the halfway point of it's charging time it loses it's ability to freely flow around solid objects, becoming more susceptible to conventional means of harm the higher it's charge grows. This does however grant it the ability to physically fight back as well. The more solid it becomes the harder it's body hits. As far as size is concerned it starts off roughly the size of a sky scraper and starts to shrink down as it builds charge. It is due to it's form becoming denser, more compact. At full charge it'll be a tenth of it's original size, dispersing back to full size once it discharges it's electricity. Both the speed at which this fear builds it's charge and the max electrical capacity of this phobia is proportionate to the fear it's derived from. This fear manifests as a living iron maiden which travels upon squat iron legs, reaching out with it's thick iron doors while a mysterious force draws the guilty towards it's open container filled with blood stained spikes. This avatar is among the stranger sorts of it's kind. Mastigophobia emits a special aura which preys upon the minds of those who have acknowledged that they have done something wrong. They are not required to show remorse or guilt for their actions but they must recognize their transgression as immoral at the very least. Those who qualify are influenced by the aura, driven to climb inside the iron maiden. The greater they perceive the transgression as being the more potent the draw becomes. It is possible to resist the pull of the iron maiden through sheer willpower however the longer the guilty spend in it's aura the harder it is to resist. With greater power Mastigophobia grows in durability and inescapability, both in the literal sense as well as with it's mental pull. This fear appears as a tall humanoid with massive hands and no facial features or hair, just ears. Agliophobia endures punishment with remarkable fortitude and can dish it out with it's enormous hands. Due to lacking a majority of organs used to navigate this being sees through other being's pain. The more something is suffering the more clearly it is visible to Agliophobia. Outside of sensing other's pain this avatar uses strictly sound for navigation. This avatar projects an aura which magnifies the pain suffered for all caught inside it's radius. Conversely the more pain this avatar suffers the stronger and more durable it becomes. The strength of the fear this avatar is born from adjudicates it's baseline physical competency as well as the potency of it's pain aura. This fear takes the form of a spider the size of a full grown man wearing a giant skull upon it's back. It possesses a majority of the qualities a normal spider would have only taken to a larger size. The skull doesn't seem to weigh it down too much and provides decent protection. Improvement's to this avatar's potency improves both it's physical strength and durability. Greater strength also improves it's spider traits such as the durability and adhesiveness of it's webbing and the potency of it's paralyzing venom. This fear takes the form of a humanoid wrought from darkness made material. This being assumes the form of a man at first but it's form is able to change freely, shifting it's mass to best serve it's needs. As it's body is made from darkness made flesh it has some properties which make this avatar quite tough and adaptable albeit with one notable weakness. It's flesh is in a constant shifting flux between solid and liquid, able to congeal into muscle and skin to form pseudopods with which to grapple and attack it's prey with but also able to shift into a self-animated fluid to help it reform around blows and pass through small openings. Even if it's flesh is struck while solid any part that's detached or crushed can simply turn to liquid and reform back into it's intended shape or reconnect to the main mass if detached. Despite it's hardiness towards physical combat this being is far more susceptible to light. When exposed to almost any form of light the substance comprising the avatar's physical mass will begin to corrode, the brighter the light the faster the corrosion. Natural sunlight causes the fastest deterioration out of all forms of light, light magic included. This dark mass while in a fluid state is susceptible to being frozen. When frozen it will no longer be usable by the avatar until the mass that is trapped is freed from the ice. The darkness is not flammable in either state however the light produced from flames will corrode it like any other light. All light magically created, both directly and as a byproduct of the magic cast such as flashes from lightning and light from fire, will corrode the avatar's dark mass just like any other source of light. Light produced by illusion magic will not corrode the dark mass however as the light created is simply an image of illumination and thus holds no sway over real darkness. Greater strength from both the fear it's born from and from Daisy grants Nyctophobia more mass to work with. This fear takes the form of a large pitch black humanoid with a massive single in place of a head. This being despite being quite large relies on less direct methods of combat due to it's overall fragility. This does not mean that this avatar is not formidable however. Ommatophobia can cause eyes to grow out of surfaces that it touches. This being can see through any eye that it creates making this avatar useful for surveillance. This avatar can also see things invisible to the naked eye such as magical auras, spirits and most things concealed magically. Last but not least this avatar can choose to paralyze those who make eye contact with it's massive central eye. This paralysis only lasts for a short amount of time. The time the paralysis lasts is longer for beings that are weaker than it and shorter for beings that are stronger than it. If it is born from a greater fear and/or should Daisy become stronger then Ommatophobia will be stronger too. Greater strength results in a longer paralysis time as well as factoring into deciding whether an opposing being qualifies for reduced paralysis time and if so by how much. They obey Daisy first and foremost, however, Much like one's own body special circumstances can force them to make decisions for themselves. For example if they detect that Daisy is at risk of coming to harm they will immediately drop whatever they're doing and rush to her aid regardless of her orders. These avatars also possess personalities of their own, personas imposed upon them by Daisy subconsciously. They can respond to situations with their own intuition and can even banter should such an avatar possess the ability to communicate. Should an Avatar be destroyed those who's fear it's formed from will have their fear "Muted". This is a state wherein the specific fear tied to the dissipated avatar becomes far less notable, leaving the owner of said fear not wholly lacking in their specific fear but instead experiencing such feeling far less keenly than normal. This muted state remains until the fear seeps back into their state of mind naturally. In their muted state fears cannot be selected to form avatars from until the effect fades. In normal circumstances the muted state lasts for roughly a week. The strength of these fears is represented as the size of these names in proportion to the other fears they suffer. While this provides little insight as to where these fears stem from, if anything at all, this special form of sight allows her to see beings who would normally go unseen due to the fears which hover over them at all times. [center][b]- Miscellaneous -[/b][/center] Cellphone. [u][b]VII. Biography.[/b][/u] In order to talk about Daisy's history we must first discuss her father, John Defoe. The man is a famous artist, renown for his sculptures and other installations in the high art crowd. He built his reputation off of being one of the last few classical artists left in what is largely a highly exclusive community. During that time he was sought out by Ciara, a passionate fan of his and the woman who would be Daisy's future mother. Despite John being highly isolationist and reclusive in nature she glommed onto him and more or less wormed her way into a one-sided relationship with him. She was allowed to manage all the mundane chores of living in exchange for the privilege of being allowed to watch him conduct his creative process. After some years she successfully managed to convince him to tolerate the idea of having a child together. While he wasn't entirely onboard Ciara had certainly gone out of her way to sweeten the deal. Thus, Daisy Defoe was born. Ever since then her life had been lived in a miserable cage, a child caught between a loveless father and a mother who would break her own back for him. Worse yet as the years went by it seemed John's mental health, something that was already unsound at best for him, had deteriorated in the conditions created for him by Ciara. His already grim yet expressive works had taken less and less pleasant tones as he slipped further and further down into the dark twisting tunnels of his own mind. Of course, his unearthly muse might of had a hand in that. Nonetheless Daisy did her very best to continue existing day to day. It seemed anytime she encountered her father she would fall prey to his abusive language, callous disregard for her being and oft bizarre ramblings. Her mother would try and shelter her from John's wrath whenever possible but would never raise a finger against him and ultimately the woman would side with her husband above all else. Thus, Daisy was all alone in her struggle to just find her way in a world that was hard enough on it's own. Any time she couldn't spend locked up in the privacy of her room she'd spend outdoors, either studying at school or jogging to work off the junk food she frequently indulged in. While in the privacy of her room she'd spend long hours either studying or writing for her own entertainment. Anytime she had to cross the threshold of her room to leave for school and vice versa it was always a terrifying time. Having to navigate dimly lit halls, avoiding wherever her father went and having to be constantly wary for approaching footsteps lest she fall victim to her deranged father's cruelty once again, this daily routine weighed hard upon her. The despair brought upon by these awful encounters and the stress of trying to avoid her parents within her own home left some definite scars on her psyche.
