[indent]Niklaus is an unimposing individual despite what a name he's made for himself over the years. He's quite lean in build and only stands in around five foot ten inches. He never quite holds himself to that full height, often hunched or hugging his elbows. Most who meet Niklaus without an idea of his villain identity will assume almost nothing of him. He's not immediately frightening and he almost seems [i]nervous[/i] in how he moves, how he rocks and fidgets.

Niklaus has longish brown hair that curls at the ends, this hair is usually kept in a ponytail at the nape of his neck although he has sometimes relents in letting it down. He has a face that seems almost friendly with a roman nose and high cheekbones. His eyes are a pale, pale shade of green and his skin is usually quite tan although nowadays it looks a bit paler. His smile is a frequent thing, honestly the only thing that's physically unsettling about Niklaus is that too-wide grin that almost never seems to fall.

He dresses quite simply, comfortably, favoring cardigans and sweaters. He can be found in suits every so often but for the most part he dresses down.[/indent]

[indent]Niklaus is [i]not quite right[/i]. Many who have the displeasure of getting to know the man have found that he is... a few screws loose of a set. Niklaus is friendly, borderline manic in his friendliness. He's cheerful and excitable, he almost always seems [i]happy[/i]. His pleasant demeanor makes it easy to talk to him but his distractable nature makes it hard to follow any thread of conversation with him. He is rapidly shifting, constantly bouncing from one extreme to the next. 

While he may [i]love[/i] you one day, he might assuredly [i]hate[/i] you the next. His erratic and ever-shifting emotions make him both unstable and [i]confusing[/i]. One wrong turn and he could be plotting your downfall, it's entirely frustrating to deal with at times. He is easily amused and sometimes childish in his mannerisms. 

He is egotistical to a point of megalomania, he honestly believes himself to be a [i]God[/i]. He's bold and willing to rush into things without a second thought, extremely reckless and unafraid. He is power-hungry and violent. He is willing to hurt whoever he can to get wherever he needs to be. He is sadistic and enjoys inflicting pain on others. Despite these things, he is a good public speaker, someone who accidentally exudes charisma but this also makes him quite good at lying.

All in all, Niklaus is not someone to be taken lightly.[/indent]

Niklaus Argyros was raised an only child to a single father. His mother had died shortly after his birth and his father was left to raise him alone. He was an odd child from the start. He could never seem to stay in place, often wandering and distracted by the strangest little things. This was something his father could never quite understand, a level-headed man who wasn't taken by art or mystery, but his son was not much like him at all.

Niklaus wanted to see all that the world could offer but his father was content with what they had. Life was quiet for the first few years of his life, his father was distant and they rarely spoke. Niklaus was never terribly bothered by this absence of adults in his life but it did often lead to him getting in trouble. He would often bother their neighbors and could be found following around an older boy in the neighborhood. This young man's name was Richmond and he was somewhat infamous for reeking havoc.

Richmond was two years older than Niklaus and was often at the head of their misadventures. They quickly made a name for themselves in that neighborhood much to Niklaus' father's chagrin. Niklaus wound up at odds with his father as a result of this, the two had taken to fighting near constantly. It was during one of these fights that Niklaus first developed his powers. 

Niklaus would disappear from his childhood home shortly after this.

Tartarus would first come into the media maybe two years after this. A haunting figure that appeared in the dreams of citizens, always with a man at his side. He would torture his victims by using their worst fears against them and leave them broken shells of who they had once been. Tartarus was a [i]menace[/i] and his sidekick was no better. 

The two would continue a reign of terror for what would become years until-- Richmond would wind up as collateral in a battle with a hero who sought to take them down. After the loss of his partner, Niklaus seemingly disappeared again. He has only recently come back to light upon getting a job at the school.[/indent]
