He held the arrow notched in the bow down in front of him, not aiming at anything but was ready when they walked through the door. There were several badies around, a few moving barrels and Echnida herself sneering at them. What exactly were they late for? The rest of camp and New Rome would know by now that Echnida was coming after them all. After all Ezekiel had warned them and they had gotten here as quickly as they could. ”Got it, barrels go boom, bad,” Ezekiel said and looked away from the barrels. He caught Echnida’s eye and frowned when she asked who wanted to feed her pet first and then the thing in her bag grew. Ezekiel shifted, taking half a step back and looked at it. Good gods, now would be the time for one of the gods to give them an advantage of some kind. ”Hey Janelle, I think now would be a good time to see if you could put people to sleep,” he said. They knew she could invade people’s dreams, but maybe she could put them to sleep as well. Putting creatures to sleep as well would be wonderful. Ezekiel had no idea how they were going to take out that thing. ”I go high, you go low?” The question was directed at Kristin as he raised his bow and aimed it at one of the creatures heads. What had they just walked in on?
