Since Aaron doesn’t dress to impress sis clothing reflects this. In his first year of High school he was quite outspoken and friendly. However the events surrounding the death of Alison Davies and the year after, left a permanent mark on the male. He began to become more quiet, burning his friendships and only leaving the house if he had a reason to. Aside from his personality shift, Aaron is a rather determined person, known for being a perfectionist at heart. He takes pleasure in his hobbies, even if he does them alone now. If you can dig past his self imposed exile, he can be very talkative, if not defensive, years of deflecting and avoiding answering questions can make him unbearable at times. He can be known to be lazy at times, more so since the shooting. If you try and call him out on it however he will simply hide behind his injury.
Biography
Upto the start of High School. Aaron had a fairly normal life like most kids. His mother and father own one of the burger joints on the main street of Edenridge and for the most part it was really successful, becoming one of those hangout spots that everyone wanted to be at after school. Aaron grew up as an only child. His parents knew that the second they realised that Arron was a boy, that their parenting skills would limit them to one a single boy. Middle school was full of mischief and tomfoolery making friends and all the usual preteen stuff that you did as children. However growing up for Aaron was the reason things fell apart. High School was a transition that he wasn't quite ready for. It didn't help that their first year was really eventful and culminated in the death of Alison. The usual confidence of Aaron was dented. High school was a different world and slowly he began to slip into a more quiet and reserved tone. He began associating with people less and as a result a shroud of suspicion and secrecy fell upon him. Things cranked up a notch in junior year however. At this point he was dating Amanda, a girl from year above who was the only person who could get through the now reclusive Aaron. Things took a bad turn however when one night, just before thanksgiving a disused warehouse on the edge of town suddenly burst into flames. Inside was Amanda. She survived the fire though she was burned and scarred heavily from the incident. No one was ever caught for chasing the fire, however it was Aaron who invited her to meet there. Although there was no evidence that Aaron caused the fire he was too close to the whole thing, and people started the blame game. It started with people at school. Angry seniors and people on his own year, both unforgiving that Aaron either did it, or didn't protect her enough to stop it. Despite the baiting, Aaron kept quiet. The problem, is silence implies guilt. It only helped fuel the fire, soon parents and community members got involved. They began to embargo the family diner and with it being the only source of income, things started to get rough at home. It almost turned into a war: Aaron and his family on one side and the Edenridge community on the other. Snide comments when you went shopping, people refusing to serve you. It was the norm for the Cox family now. With hardly any customers, the diner has been on its last legs for the past few years, just about scrapping enough to get by. And when there wasn't enough, family possessions were pawned off. The snubbing had finally gotten too much for Aaron's father: Leo. He publically and verbally attacked and berated the town in a fit of rage at a grocery store, about how a community so tightly knit could just cast out one of their own without any evidence. When the community refused to budge, he had enough. He split from his wife of 20 years and left Edenridge, leaving his mother Samantha with a diner to run on her own. Then came senior year. And that just compounded many issues. On the fateful day of the shooting, Aaron was caught unawares in one of the corridors when he encountered Charlie managed to get Aaron twice: once in the upper right leg and again in the lower back as he retreated around a corner. Aaron survived by lying down on the floor next to another one of his victims, essentially playing dead and hoping that he didn't take notice. Surviving a shooting was a trauma inducing experience but for Aaron the aftermath was probably worse than being shot. Already seen as the black sheep, some people began to wonder if Aaron was involved with Charlie, and perhaps it was him who helped push Charlie over the edge. The whole argument made no sense. If Aaron was involved then he would not have gotten shot. Given the whole shock of the incident however, it was far easier to find blame and use it to help grieve. So the cycle started once again. The medical expenses for his surgery was enough to break the bank for his mother. The family began to rack up massive debts and it was starting to pile up. Samantha refused to sell the diner, hoping that footfall might increase. Aaron decided against going to college, to help ease the burden on his now stressed mother. Aaron's own recovery has been a slow recovery. He can still walk, but mostly needs to use a stick to help him walk. Still it doesn't matter too much. He can't help at the diner as he can't hold any plates and standing up long enough to cook is a nightmare. Now, Aaron jus laments at home, occasionally leaving the house to get shopping for his mother, much to the disgust of the Edenridge community.
Family
Samantha Cox / 44 / Mother Leo Cox / 45 / Father (No longer living together)
Misc.
Lucky Blue Smith | #89cff0 Not such Aaron’s theme song, but the theme song of his and Amanda’s relationship: Paramore - The Only Exception. His own theme would probably be another Paramore song - Turn it Off.
