She protested every time Lily dragged her onto one of those flying metal coffins. The view, if anything, made up for it as what laid out before her was something right out of the fairy tales her mother used to read to her. A tall, shimmering castle with an elegant courtyard decorated with carved pillars and carefully trimmed foliage. The whole scene felt like was laid out entirely for her despite the crowd that surrounded her. There were so many faces that she didn't recognize but it didn't bother her as she flowed wit the crowd. It was easier when they were just a faceless mob. She wore a sleeveless black, formal coat that hugged her arms and chest but loosened up around the wrists and waist. The trim of the coat was lined with white fur-like material. Its length ended around mid-thigh, where it revealed a pair of simple dress pants that were one shade lighter than her coat. Her footwear was a pair of black leather combat boots with silver accents. The only color in her entire outfit were her eyes that purposefully avoided making eye-contact with anyone for too long. Her suitcase was not as large as some of the others as she took the time to meticulously select everything she brought. Lily had tried to sneak a few extra items that were easily discovered. It did come as a small comfort to see a few other Faunus among the new arrivals. A small glimmer of hope rose in her that perhaps the issues of old world hadn't come to Beacon's gates. Chari left her luggage with the man that came around collecting it from everyone, offering a simple nod and smile as thanks. It was strange to the point of uncomfortable to have such a service provided to her. She quickly glanced back over her shoulder as she entered through the main gates, a remnant of a old habit, before moving farther into the main hall. The inside was somehow even more impressive than its exterior and Chari could barely form a thought as her eyes wandered from wall to wall. They stopped immediately upon seeing the man clad in armor standing up on the pedestal in front. For a moment, she didn't believe what she was seeing. He looked like a real knight! It was only he began speaking did she acknowledge that he was indeed real. While other might have found his speech boring, Chari hung on every word he spoke and more ready then ever to start her training as a huntress.
B E A C O N A C A D E M Y T H E G R E A T H A L L K I N G D O M O F V A L E
Chari sat crossed-legged on her sleeping bag as he held a sketch pad in her lap, dressed in a black long-sleeve shirt with white buttons and trimming with a pair of black pajama pants. Her cheek was firmly pressed against a small flashlight on her shoulder as her hand moved a pencil across the currently blank page. The image of Beacon Academy as she stepped off the dropship was something she couldn't get out of her mind so she decided to put it on paper. It also help eased the stress and worry about tomorrow. This was her one shot to make her mark on the world by helping those that need it the most. It was proving impossible to sleep despite her going a little overboard when it came to the feast. Perhaps it wasn't the best word for it, but she had never smelled so much delicious food in one place before. Questions upon questions danced around her mind like a chaotic ballet but as the scene on her sketch pad developed, the questions soon faded. There were so many people in the hall that the silence was almost disturbing. It was...quiet here. No acidic smells from noxious fumes or the mixed screams of a busy nightlife. It was so quiet that she felt her ear twitch at the slightest disturbance of this strange peace. The so-called 'calm before the storm' perhaps? As the minutes went past, the movement of her hand began to slow and her lines started to deviate. It was the first time she would be falling asleep next to complete strangers and she was more than hesitant. However, she couldn't afford to be exhausted tomorrow. Reluctantly, she set her sketch pad and pencil aside and crawled into her sleeping bag. Beacon Academy had to be the safest place in the world anyway, right? Even so, all she seemed to be able to do for now is stare through the large window at the night sky.
[sub]Interactions:[/sub]
