Todd Miller, Mustache Man The first new troops had landed, shuttles providing another platoon of soldiers to the front as the push towards Echo Base had been a slow crawl over the bodies of fallen predecessors. The officer hesitantly making his way down the ramp as the stray blaster bolt would hit the hull and even the ramp itself, the snowtroopers easily making their way down, not even caring for the fire, much unlike the worried officer who kept peeking around the snowy fields as if trying to spot a killer chasing him. "Um, yes, right." He stated, more so talking to himself rather than anyone else, while the snowtroopers lined up as rank and file. "Uh, quick, make haste! We'll assault their positions with the next wave!" He openly stated as the troops stayed resoundingly unresponsive to his awkwardness and cowardly behavior. "Uh, take cover and, wait until the next wave of reinforcements arrive!" He stated, not quite aware of his position as reinforcements. Everyone scattered around and took cover quietly, waiting for the next shuttle to arrive. Howard David Hughes, Rebel Extraordinaire "Ha, got another one!" The sniping duo had maintained their position quite exposed in an open field, Howard and Louis, the two hadn't known each other for long but it didn't quite matter, they just worked well enough to perform support for the defending elements outside of Echo Base. They had made it their game, a tally of stormtroopers shot while the battle raged on. It provided some friendly competition to the moment, to distract them from the dangers of hasty evacuation, only for a while. Hector had begun to rise up from his position, using the stock of his rifle and firmly planting it into the snow to support him getting up onto his right knee. "Say we fall back and-" Louis had just began to say...right before a bolt cut through his chest. Howard didn't even need to say a word. He checked the body with an acknowledgement that there was little to be done- no life signs, no chance of bringing him back. He grabbed some of the ammo off of his once-living friend and retreated towards the base as fast as he could, trying not to think much of it.
