With facilities for Elementary and Middle school in addition to the primary High School campus, as well as dorms for all students and staff, the school is dedicated to teaching young monsters to coexist peacefully with humans. Ever since a major incident roughly 25 years ago during which the existence of monsters was revealed to humans worldwide, this mission has become ever more important. In addition to standard curriculum, the school guides young monsters in maintaining human guises and enforces a rule against revealing one's true nature (not that the rule doesn't get broken on occasion) in order to maintain secrecy among humans to avoid alarming them. In addition to this, it is forbidden for any humans to enter the school, for even though humans are now aware of monsters the school must still remain secret in the event of hostile human groups seeking to hunt monsters and destroy the ideal of peaceful coexistence. That said, there have been rumors spreading around that humans have occasionally entered the school and left unscathed, and even that some had attended as students, but these rumors have yet to be verified with concrete evidence.

As we enter a new year, we meet many more new students entering their first year of high school at Yōkai, with a special focus on those joining the school's Newspaper Club. What mysteries will the new club of sleuths uncover? What kinds of articles will they write? What kind of trouble will they inevitably involve themselves in? And why are all the pretty girls drawn to that club every year?!

This is a lighthearted RP with focus on character interaction and growth, with potential for comedy, romance, and moments of conflict and heroism that will likely increase in frequency as the story develops.

[*]All Players are allowed to make up to 3 Main Characters
[*]As long as at least 1 of their Main Characters is planned to join the Newspaper Club, Players may have Main Characters that do not join the club
[*]Up to 1-2 characters throughout the party may be humans; all others must be monsters. If no one else makes a human character, I most likely will myself
[*]Monster characters can be from any walk of mythology as long as you can provide info resources about them
[*]Monster info for your characters may also be altered from the traditional info about them, as long as you detail how they differ
[*]Characters may be new to the campus or students that attended the Elementary and Middle schools that are part of the campus, but they must be High Schoolers as of the start of the RP
[*]Children of canon or extremely likely ships from the original work are allowed, but not preferred
[*]At least 1 character per player must be a first-year student
[*]Players may also play Side Characters (:airquoteNPCs:airquote), and generally don't have a limit to how many they're allowed to play
[*]Side Characters can range from a nameless 1-time mention to a recurring role, as long as they are shown to be having less focus in the story than Main Characters
[*]Once the Characters Tab is set up there will be some up-for-grabs NPCs presented with varying levels of criteria filled out that I would like players interested to play; more information on their specific roles will be shared privately with whomever shows interest
[*]IC posts should contain at least 1-2 paragraphs of content, with proper grammar and spelling; try to be as descriptive as you can
[*]Although not required, it is preferable to include your character's name & image in their posts to make telling them all apart easier
[*]The maximum deadline for posts is 2 weeks, but it's preferred for posts to be out in under 1. If something comes up and you need more time, please let me know and we can work around it, but otherwise if a deadline is missed without communication as to why then you may be skipped or kicked from the RP
