She's always wary of her surroundings and the people she's near. This attitude comes from her father's teachings and lack of personal relationships she's had in her life. She's extremely ambitious and competitive, which is why she has made every effort to become part of the student council and is often revered at school with tremendous respect from her teachers and other peers. Image is everything for her and it has been the one thing she has clung to in order to make something of herself, as her father instilled in her. [/INDENT]

[INDENT]Oka was raised by her father, her mother nowhere to be found. Her earliest memory of her mother was when she was three years old, otherwise she knew nothing much of her. Her father never spoke of her and the only thing that was left of her was a picture of her holding Oka when she was child. Her father never remarried and was often very busy as she grew up. She was socially isolated, only learning how to communicate with adults and not very much with children. Since she was raised as an only child by her father, he brought her up to be careful and selective of who she spent her time with. Her father worked very hard at a small company before working his way up to become the vice president. And since his promotion during her first year, Oka has done her very best to make him proud-- to make him notice her. Rarely do they get to spend time with one another and often it has bothered her, but she has always remembered her father's advice once she got into high school that it would make her a stronger person to work alone. And so she did, very rarely taking the time to get to know anyone in her class or become closer to anyone beyond their given role in her life. 

And then as her third year came rushing forward, she wondered if stress was getting to her. These dreams that she was having, the sight of a butterfly-- a room. She felt like it meant something, a premonition perhaps? 

She wondered if her mind was urging her to break out of her shell-- to start to make a change. But as usual she ignored those thoughts and continued her mundane life. It's her final year of school and her last chance to make an impressionable memory of herself other than being the perfect student. Can she change?[/INDENT]
