Born to a wealthy Chinese father and an American mother Kara was raised in a life of privilege and prestige in Hong Kong. At Age seven Kara's parents were killed by Triad due to her father having past dealings with them. Kara was taken in by her uncle a renowned martial artist in Beijing who raised her as his own.

At eighteen Kara went after the Red Lotus Triad, the organization responsible for her parents' death. Despite her uncle's warnings of seeking revenge Kara used her martial arts training to kill the Triad boss Sin Yun and his men. In retaliation the Red Lotus attacked her uncle in his home and kidnapped him, warning Kara to meet with them or her uncle would die. Kara did as ordered only for her uncle to killed in front of her before the Red Lotus immediately attacked. Blind with rage and grief Kara butchered the Red Lotus boss Tan Jiang and his men in a whirlwind before setting their estate aflame.

After burying her uncle Kara fled China and came to the United States using forged documents and money left by her family. Around the age of twenty Kara turned to a life of crime, using her powers and natural cunning to make a living as a master thief, calling herself as "Scarlet Shadow". Many of the most daring heists in recent history have been her work.

Her ultimate goal is simple really; go down as the greatest thief in history, which she sees as a sort of art in itself, and to amass a generous fortune to eventually retire on. 

Scarlet Shadow is a stoic and grim type in and out of costume. While not cruel or overtly deviant she is a thief and isn't hesitant to brutalize or kill. Though she prefers to avoid violence and instead employ stealth and intrigue. She also has a whimsical and mocking side which can surface at any given time. 


[h2][color=ed1c24]SUPER POWER[/color][/h2] SUPER SPEED.

Scarlet Shadow's power is super speed bursts and lighting reflexes. She can sprint notable distances in flash-like bursts. This speed can translate into quick hops and leaps as well however it is notable that in air she slows down as her power is derived from personal feat and not time and space manipulation. Her base reflexes and flexibility are lighting-fast which gives her a big advantage in hand-to-hand combat. Her training in judo and kendo paired with her speed make her  dangerous foe.

However her stamina - while impressive - does not stand in equality with her super speed itself. Scarlet Shadow has to interval her bursts in movement or else risk total exhaustion. Lengthy fights with heavy exertion are her bane and will force her to use her conventional ability. This holds true for running and jumping, overlong use of her powers will debilitate her in time and leave her helpless to any foes present if she is not careful.

She must also be mindful in wet or rainy environments as she has more than once went flying uncontrollably in her early days when zooming over wet surfaces.
