And upon being fully equipped for combat, she tips the scales at exactly 66kg (145lbs). To her dismay, Mehetabel actually has quite a physically attractive form to her, sporting a BWH of 32-18-29 if measured in inches and 81-46-74 if measured in centimeters. Mehetabel often ties her short dark hair into twintails when out and about around the military base, but leaves it completely down when it comes time for her to put her helmet on and head into the battlefield. Underneath her military uniform is a necklace that Mehetabel made using the very same bullet that had penetrated her mother's heart, which she had since pulled out and cleaned out. It serves a memento for what Mehetabel is really fighting for; to avenge the deaths of her family and the many other villagers that lost their lives in the Imperial Raid on her home village of Brisque. As such, she'll never remove this necklace; not even to shower or bathe. [sub] (For the record, it should be noted that Mehetabel is significantly more dressed up than as shown in the pic below, for obvious reasons.)[/sub]

[sub]Personality:[/sub]
Mehetabel is the type of person who tends to keep her distance from her other squad-mates. The more space she has from anyone that maybe around her, the better she'll feel about it. However, those who've been stuck sitting next to Mehetabel in the mess hall, stationed alongside her during training or the like have noted what seems to be a constant sense of irritability about her. Even her resting gaze exudes pure venom, whether that's what she intends to showcase or otherwise. As such, it's safe to say that one's ability to tolerate Mehetabel's presence will depend entirely on her current mood. There may be more than a few soldiers within the platoon that Mehetabel is now serving under that outrank her in all technicality, but she won't allow that fact to stop her from speaking her mind. Unsurprisingly, this gets Mehetabel into trouble more often than not, as what she does have to say is usually said without the slightest amount of tact to it. That said, she does not respond well to threats of being court-martialed. Not that she'll adjust her attitude just to stay on a specific commanding officer's good side, mind you; if anything, such an expectation will only aggravate Mehetabel even more. After all, she didn't sign up to make friends. She signed up to kill those who align themselves with the Imperial Empire, and make the Empire pay for what their soldiers did to her specifically, as well as her family and the villagers of her home settlement of Brisque. That part in particular, she'll make perfectly clear. As abrasive as she may came across at the worst of times, Mehetabel is only like this because she has tried, and failed multiple times, to bottle all of that anger and spite within the depths of her cold, blackened heart. Assuming all this raw rage is an iceberg, the amount that Mehetabel ultimately vents out would just be the very tip. She doesn't like to be in a bad mood as often as she is. In truth, all these dark emotions make her sick to her very core. But until she gets the chance to perform out there, it's difficult for her to feel anything else. Perhaps she'll get her chance to shine out in the battlefield as the war goes onward, but until then, all she can really do is endure whatever hell fate has in store for her, whether she'd appreciate it or not.
[sub]Biography:[/sub]
Brisque, a small village in the Diebal Mountain Range of Gallia that, as of the 19th century, housed a total of only 45 villagers. Winters were harsh, but the community would always stick together to survive off the land. It was here in this small village that Mehetabel was brought into this world. Azaria, the father of the household, would go out in the wilderness to hunt for enough food for the family to survive, while Lavinia, the mother, would look after their three children: eldest son Demetrius, Mehetabel herself and youngest daughter Verity. Azaria would later pass his hunting skills down to Demetrius, and then to an eager Mehetabel that he was surprised to note interest from. This interest had likely stemmed from a competitive rivalry that Mehetabel had established with the older Demetrius. Aside from the occasional harsh Winter, the small mountain village of Brisque would know peace for a whole 30 years from the day it was founded. That all changed in 1912, when an Imperial elite scouting squadron breached well past the Gallian borders and charged their way up the Diebal Mountain Range. It was somewhat small of an Imperial squadron, but their combat training and superior weaponry were more than enough to fell the defending villagers. They would then move on to kill the men that weren't brave enough to pick up a rifle and fight, and then the women that were too old for their personal liking and the girls that were too young for their personal liking. Mehetabel had spent an extra hour out hunting during the day of the invasion, and only got back in time to see the aftermath of the battle itself. She was too late to save Lavinia; she knew that the moment she saw the poor mother get shot in the chest. And she could only guess that Azaria and Demetrius had already fallen during the battle. But when she saw Verity stare down the barrel of that same rifle, Mehetabel bolted straight towards the offending Imperial soldier in question, tackling him and causing him to miss his shot. The speeding bullet slashed Verity's left cheek but, aside from being overwhelmed by sheer terror, she was otherwise OK. Mehetabel had then moved point her own rifle at the fallen soldier's head, unaware of how quickly the other Imperial soldiers could rush to his aid. Unsurprisingly, her adrenaline-infused bravado didn't last long and, once the other soldiers surrounded her, she was easily coerced into dropping her rifle and holding her hands high up in the air. Realizing there was nothing more she could do, Mehetabel breathed a sigh of defeat, mentally preparing herself to die right where she stood. However, after all the soldiers took some time to admire her body, the commander of the Imperial squadron told Mehetabel that they had other ideas, and gave her an offer. He said he'd be willing to let both the girls escape with their lives, but in exchange, Mehetabel would have to allow the soldiers to have their way with her. Mehetabel cringed at the sound of that proposal. She looked over at Verity with evident concern on her face, but didn't get much of a chance to declare her answer before some of the more eager Imperial soldiers jumped the gun. Verity could only watch in horror as the commander of the Imperial squadron cut Mehetabel's clothes open with a combat knife, and left her to have her body be defiled by his soldiers while he himself kept Verity in check via pistol to the head. The soldiers would then dump Mehetabel on the snow in a half-naked state, and move on to the other adolescent girls that they kept alive, if only for the very same reason as they did her. Mehetabel had never been thoroughly defeated in her entire life. Coerced into surrendering. Sexually taken advantage of. And finally thrown aside like common trash. On top of that, there was the broken spirit of poor Verity, who saw everything that was happening at once and was too traumatized to speak any longer as a result. All of this had enraged Mehetabel into swearing vengeance against the Imperial Empire. But first, she had to keep Verity safe. Thankfully, a good friend of Mehetabel's was among the survivors of the invasion. After taking the time to ask how she was holding up, Mehetabel passed Veirty off in exchange for some spare clothing, trusting that she'd take good care of her. She then parted ways, collecting a memento from the area where Lavinia was shot in the form of the bullet that penetrated her heart, which she'd later clean off and tie a string around so she could wear it as a necklace, and giving her mother a proper burial before finally making her descent down the mountain to join the war effort. It wasn't an easy journey to make, and it could've very easily stopped short had Mehetabel any reason to merely fight alongside the Gallian Army. However, when she asked one of the representatives what the army's end goal was, he replied that they were simply content with ridding themselves of the Imperial invaders. Mehetabel was dismayed, but not surprised. She had a feeling that the opportunity to make the Imperials suffer for what they'd done wouldn't arise as often if she stayed to fight them in Gallia, due to the absence of any long-term plans to engage the Imperials directly. But what of The Federation, Mehetabel asked? Where could she sign up to join their cause? While the look on his face implied disappointment from a lack of patriotism on her end, the representative obliged Mehetabel's query and pointed her in the direction of the closest town that was within Federation jurisdiction. And with that Mehetabel was set to serve under the 15th Atlantic Rifles, and provided the military training she needed to stand a chance out there on the battlefield. She was originally put under a different platoon but, while her training went well enough in and of itself, conflicts would often arise between Mehetabel and her superiors, the latter category evidently not appreciating her lack of discipline or the readiness of which she'd speak her mind. These problems would be a constant issue, and it got to a point where paperwork had to be submitted in order for Mehetabel to be transferred to serve under a different platoon, in hopes that their commander would be better prepared for Mehetabel's antics. Of course, Mehetabel is still leery over such an executive decision even now, but it may yet be the best thing for her in the end.

Combat Information

[sub]Rank:[/sub]
Private
[sub]Role:[/sub]
Gunner
[sub]Equipment:[/sub]

Typhoon Mk. How in all that is unholy The Federation would accept into their rank and file someone who was born on Imperial territory, Mehetabel will never know. Nor can she trust that Franz and Leonore truly want to see the Empire fall, and not, say... suddenly betray The Federation when they can least afford it. Of course, that last part is speculation on Mehetabel's end, and bigoted speculation at that. Nonetheless, Mehetabel's inability to trust the intentions of either of the Imperial-descendants knows no bounds as of this moment.

Genuine Sadist: "I'll make them suffer as I did."
The act of simply gunning an Imperial soldier down isn't enough for Mehetabel on its own. She wants to give each Imperial soldier as agonizing and as excruciating a death as she possibly can. Mehetabel will often initially sweep low across the terrain, aiming for the legs of advancing Imperial soldiers in order to sabotage their ability to retreat, before moving on to shoot at the arms and disarm the ones she crippled. If she can afford to advance without getting shot in retaliation, she'll then close in on one Imperial soldier in particular and finish the job from there. Once she gets the hang of her Typhoon machine gun's recoil, Mehetabel may even start power walking towards her target as she's firing. Some may argue that Mehetabel is wasting valuable ammunition by adopting this somewhat unique gunplay style of hers, but her main concern is to show the Imperials what for... in her own way.

Thriving In The Cold: "Personally? I kinda like a little chill in the air..."
Growing up in the Diebal Mountain Range of Gallia has given Mehetabel a high tolerance of the cold, eliminating the necessity of Winter gear for her specifically. In fact, Mehetabel actually enjoys the brush of a cool, chilly breeze against her skin. She's still vulnerable to hypothermia, however; her high cold tolerance only extends the amount of time she can spend in a freezing environment before she gets it. In addition, her high cold tolerance comes with a side effect of a low heat tolerance.

Lone Wolf: "I'm better off alone, anyway."
In an ideal world, Mehetabel would only have to concern herself with 3 things; her exact placement on the battlefield, how she's handling her Typhoon machine gun and the number of kills she can rack up with said gun among her other inventory. The fewer other variables that she has to factor into the equation, most notably squad-mates that she may have to provide covering fire for or the like, the more able she is to concentrate on her own battlefield strategy. Mehetabel will look for every opportunity to secure her own vantage point and break away from the main squad, but she'll always still remain close enough that if she has to double back for a tactical retreat, she can make that retreat in relative safety.

Miscellaneous Information

[sub]Main Theme Song:[/sub]
Brittle, by Icon For Hire
[sub]Battle Theme Song:[/sub]
Valkyria Chronicles 4 OST: Ausbruch
[sub]Ideal Voice Actresses:[/sub]
Emily Cramer (En)/Yuki Nakashima (Jp)
[sub]Familial Affiliations:[/sub]

Azaria (Father/Deceased)
Lavinia (Mother/Deceased)
Demetrius (Older Brother/Deceased)
Verity (Younger Sister/Alive)
[sub]Platoon Affiliations:[/sub]

(Will be filled out as Mehetabel interacts with other characters IC)
