She was bitter about the events of last night as with it eroded any illusions and hesitations she had been harboring about Beacon. There was not a chance she was going to play bystander again. How that girl could be so cheerful the day after eluded her. Lily had leaked some information about this but she hadn't realized that teams would be chosen so haphazardly. If the first person she sees out there is one of those assholes from last night...No! This was no time to worry. She would survive anything thrown at her. Failure was not an option. Landing strategy? Hah! She would adapt on the fly, like always. Press forward and never look back. Ever. She bent her legs readying herself in the few seconds before the pad launched into her into the air. All of this was insane, but that's why Beacon had its reputation. This was how she always imagined flying would feel. Soaring high above the rest of the world cutting through the wind, not in some giant tin can. Her head fell out of the clouds as she did and Chari readied her lance with a steady breath. She overclocked the tiny thrusters as her feet came close to the top of one tree, drastically slowing her descent as she slipped through the sprawling branches. Finally her feet landed onto a branch big enough to support her and she made her way down from there. However, the maneuver played havoc with her weapon's thrusters. A quick check revealed they had overheated which meant they were useless until they cooled off. It was fine. She had no issue wielding her weapon without them. It was time to make her way to the temple, wherever that might be. Each step she expected a grimm to charge out of the dense brush but she was equally anxious about running into someone. At this point, she would prefer the grimm. The young huntress's footsteps came to an abrupt stop as her right ear twitched with the faint sound of a voice. Following the direction it was coming from, Chari came across a particular blue-haired cyborg in a small clearing. Her eyes widened as she approached from Violet's blindspot just as she began talking to no one at all. From the sound of things, It was quite the conversation. Chari wasn't really sure if she interrupt or just get away while she still could. After all, they didn't exactly lock eyes right? Her right foot took a step back ready to slip away from the crazy before her, but she couldn't do it. This girl was going to get eaten for sure without someone to watch her back. "You must've really hit your head when you landed, huh? Chari said plainly, leaning against her lance hoping she was not going to regret this. At the least, she wasn't one of those clowns from last night or miss princess. SHE did seem to know a thing or two about machines. Maybe she could help with Sovereign Right's overheating. Chari lifted her lance and rested it against her shoulder as she stepped closer, her other hand laying on her hip. She did her best to offer a small smile, but she wasn't sure her lips move at all "Chari." She hoped that was good enough? Chari always hated introductions.
