I'll admit I have some interest, but the only real idea I have at the moment involves a smaller, more "portable" suit, think the Interceptor from Anthem. I know it's not exactly what was displayed but the idea came to mind and I feel that I could at least to attempt to work on it, even if it doesn't end up being an accepted final product. Basic idea would be the suit revolving around in-field repairs, given that any concept of the Interceptor would be based around it's fragility compared to the other "suits" but it's increased agility. For this? Thinking low fire-power but higher technical applications, as said before, repairs, being a nuisance to enemy suits if push comes to shove. Overall a repair or scout unit depending on how it's equipped given it's smaller size and 'air superiority'
A mixture of things from the original content, and what I would at least attempt to implement at this moment for this group. Given how little I have worked on this, feel free to provide literally any feedback, as things can be changed. As you will see at the bottom of the image, the art is obviously not mine, and I make no claim over it. The suit is roughly roughly 7-8 foot tall, entering the suit from the back, it is a VERY tight squeeze, and the inside is lined with a sort of "impact gel" layer in a similar way that the Spartan Suits from the halo series are. Given how tight the suits are, they tend to be form fitted to pilots, and typically require refitting if a new user wishes to properly make use of it. You can see the legs are rather long, the feet of the pilot seem to settle somewhere in the space right above the lowest mechanical "knee" joint. The suits in the original source material are known to overheat during long flights, and while they can cool on their own they often rely on outside sources to aid in the cooling process, water or high winds from deep dives being good examples. I feel such a suit in this setting, for such a role as I mentioned before, would be specifically made and trained to co-operate with Mobile Armor Suits and their teams, and would be "modifiable" to fit a role for the coming combat, though given their much smaller size and lack of true weaponry, these roles would typically be as said before, recon, overwatch, in-combat repairs and resupply and even message runners if comms go down. While more durable than the typical soldier, and typically made to withstand liquid and electrical threats they might encounter in the field when performing some form of repair or sabotage, they are certainly not made for frontline combat in the typical sense, and their main defense is their allied Mobile Armor Suits and their own evasiveness.
