It was oddly satisfying watching this monster die but Ezekiel also felt heavy inside. What if she really did have valuable information? Ezekiel looked over at Kristin when she complimented him and he smirked. He flipped his bow over his back as he spoke to her. ”Did that kill you a little to say?” He appreciated the compliment and even though the mission wasn’t perfect, Ezekiel was proud of himself and he hoped his father was as well. As much as he hated that but even though Ezekiel was still fifteen, he was young and felt he had a lot to prove. He didn’t want to be known as the poor kid, growing up with nothing. Or the kid with a mother who stripped at night and worked at a grocery store during the day. He didn’t even want to be known as Apollo’s son. He just wanted to be Zeke. An annoying shithead who got the job done. Who you could always count on to patch you up. Today, Ezekiel got it done. Ezekiel ran a hand through his hair, causing it to go askew every which way. He walked over the pile of dust and looked down the stairwell before he shut the door. Just encase. All that he noticed was that the stairwell seemed to go on forever. Maybe as far as to the Underworld itself. Only in Houston. He turned back around and walked towards Janelle and Kristin again. ”Ya and stop for a shower,” Ezekiel agreed. He looked over at Janelle, smiling. ”Welcome back to the ground,” he teased her.
