[quote]At the edge of the known world on the Koramonson Peninsula, where the Rifts never truly stayed closed, exists a nation famed for their bravery, determination and madness. For no one in their right mind would willingly choose to live in such a desolate, snow swept landscape. Norshao fights for its right to exist against the Riftworld itself. Blinding blizzards and savage storms wrack even the tallest Pillar Cities. Wild predators roam free and stalk from every shadow and ledge. And so far up into the untamed north are the eldritch monsters, mind bending anomalies and otherworldly beings that would drive lesser people to madness or despair.

But Norshao is a harsh land that forges those souls who can face down such horrors, but laugh wild doing so. For Norshao is famed for its monster hunting, its people battling  forgotten beasts, corrupted war bots, biological abominations, and star-spawned horrors that would break even the bravest of warriors. It is a battle of hunters on the Peninsula but there is no prey, only predators.

For a thousand years, Norshao had stood against the worse the Riftworld could offer and against the very gates of Hell itself. They do not merely survive against monsters in their hunts, they revel in it. For they are the only light of civilization in such a wild land. The fire that burns away the frozen darkness. The Frozen Pyre in the North.
