She does not have the patience for foolishness and is easily triggered by others pulling off idiotic stunts, leading her to either say something or worse, [i]do[/i] something. Janelle wasn’t born with this level of rage, but her hardships in life have led to have a short fuse. She doesn’t care who’s around, child or adult, she will curse up a storm to get her point across.[/COLOR][/COLOR]

[COLOR=#807B84]Whenever Janelle falls for someone, she falls hard. It’s not to say she loves them, her feelings not even being in the same realm as love, but she becomes infatuated with a guy relatively quickly. It could be any number of things that makes her drawn to them. This quirk of hers has unfortunately made her come across some guys who have taken advantage of her when she was at her lowest. They often toyed around with her feelings, got what they wanted, and in the end they dipped.[/COLOR][/COLOR]

[color=#807B84][indent]A short little thing; she stands at about 5’3 and more or less weighs 125 lbs. Her toned body is a result of constantly working out with or without a trainer in order to remain in shape as well as look good for her crowd. As pictured, Janelle currently has medium-length, curly copper-colored hair and blue eyes which make others question whether or not she has contacts on. She is a full-figured woman with mildly exotic looks. Janelle has multiple piercings on both ears as well as a tongue ring. She is mostly scar-free with the occasional mark here and there from all the fun she had during her childhood years. Janelle has multiple tattoos to include a cherry blossom branch starting from her left foot and wrapping up around her ankle, an owl with the lower half of its body morphing into a forest on the front of her right thigh, and her late younger sister's name tattooed in cursive on the back of her left shoulder.

Fashion-wise, Janelle is not too picky. Her favorite style are cute, comfortable pieces. She's not one to over-accessorize or go for crazy prints as she would much rather do neutral or gray tones, but she will wear the occasional colorful piece here and there. Janelle almost always wears her hair down, but if for whatever reason she has to pick it up, she will style it into a French braid. Her make-up has always been light. She doesn't cake on layers of foundation nor concealer on her face and if she's breaking out, which doesn't normally happen anyway, she takes out a correction pen in order to solve that problem. Janelle mainly sticks to lipsticks, some blush, and eyeshadow.

[b]Character Conceptualization[/b]
[color=#807B84][indent]Born and raised in Denver, Janelle's relatives were anything [i]but[/i] family. Her mother for the life of her could not hold a job as all she did was get high day in and day out, and her father was quite the piece of work himself. He had been in and out of prison so many times, Janelle honestly lost count. Growing up, it was just her and her younger sister Jessica—the only person she could count on—who were home alone most of the time. The girls learned to fend for themselves at a relatively young age, Jessica being only one year younger than Janelle. Given their situation, the sisters grew extremely fond of each other compared to other siblings who do nothing but fight for the majority of their day. If either one of them got into any sort of trouble, then the other one would be right there to back them up.

During their teenage years, the girls' lives did not get any better. Despite their personal challenges, Jessica was a straight A student, and while Janelle got the occasional B here and there, she was not that far behind herself. Unlike Jessica, Janelle had a few boyfriends in high school, Jason being the guy she considered "the one" or the love of her life. He, however, did not reciprocate such feelings and instead purposely cheated on Janelle with one of her close friends. Upon finding out, the drama that ensued was on such a large scale, the police had to be called. Janelle and her “friend” went at it during the break in between classes. At the end of the day, no one was arrested, and Janelle was taken home to absent parents who never really found out what had transpired that day. But it’s not necessarily like they cared either way.

Right after graduating high school, Janelle’s life took a turn for the worse. Her mother overdosed and passed away, not to anyone’s surprise. Her father got involved in a bit of trouble with rival gangs and was set to spend some time behind bars. He, however, decided to rat someone out and avoided jail time for his cooperation with the police. Unfortunately for the small family, such betrayal would come at a price. Jessica had been spotted with her father just outside of their apartment when she was fatally shot, the bullet lodging itself into her chest. At the time, Janelle was inside her room, but she rushed out after hearing the shot. Her world turned upside down the moment she stepped out of the apartment.

It’s been years since she last heard from her father as the city is large enough for them not to come across one another. Living on the opposite side of town from her childhood home, Janelle doesn’t believe her father would put any effort into finding her anyway. Ever since she’s been on her own, she’s been camming. It’s not something she’s proud of per se, but it pays the bills. It’s also putting her through school with some extra help from student loans. She’s a few years older than most students, but she’s had to dedicate a lot of her life to work rather than school.
