So, I post this sheet here knowing it probably should be rejected on the basis of being too anime for this sort of a thing, but I've always had the urge to at least try to submit a character from this universe to one of these comic book games. All I hope for is an honest consideration, even if it ends in a no. I can whip up another sheet for another character in no time, no problem. He is a member of the Joestar family, a long lineage of heroes dating back to the late 1800s. As a youth, Jotaro was a delinquent, picking frequent fights and shirking his responsibilities in favor of chasing his own nebulous quest for anything more meaningful than his education. Jotaro found his attention focused in the 1988 by the resurgence of Dio Brando, an ancient enemy of the Joestar family. Together with his Grandfather Joseph, Jotaro would become a founding member of the Stardust Crusaders, a group of metahumans all possessing the unique power of the Stand -- and all with a grudge against Dio. Together, the Crusaders travelled the world, battling other Stand users while enroute to Dio's lair. Eventually, the Crusaders arrived in Egypt, and shortly thereafter, reach Dio's mansion. In a climactic confrontation that claimed the lives of several Crusaders, Jotaro would narrowly overcome the abilities of Dio's Stand, The World, and vanquish the ancient evil once and for all. After his adventures in Egypt, Jotaro retreated from the world of superheroics to pursue his degree in Marine Biology, with which he would find employment in the Speedwagon Foundation, a science facility and research team owned and operated by friends of the family. In addition to his duties as staff biologist, The Speedwagon Foundation frequently solicited Jotaro's assistance in a number of minor conflicts with enemy Stand users along with that of fellow Crusader Jean Polnareff. Jotaro's life would change again while visiting his Grandfather in New York City. Jotaro, alongside a cavalcade of costumed heroes including Captain America and Black Canary fought to repel the invasion of the Chitauri, alien invaders invited to the planet by Loki, lie smith. Jotaro became a founding member of the Avengers, if somewhat reluctantly. As an Avenger, Jotaro was only summoned in times of great need, in accordance with his wishes, leading to his participation in battles against Darkseid, Starro, and even a one time standoff against the Incredible Hulk. During his Avenging days, Jotaro sired a daughter, Jolyne, and began building a family of his own. A family that Mojo would rip him away from. Jotaro has freshly arrived to Mojoworld, hiding his stand, Star Platinum, in reserve for the right opportunity...

[SUP][SUB]
W O R L D B A C K G R O U N D:
[/SUB][/SUP]

Essentially, the idea here is JoJo x Marvel x DC, merging all three universes into one fairly cohesive canon. The Marvel and DC portions of this universe are mostly standard, except for the fact that a number of heroes are actually Stand users instead of conventional metahumans (for instance, Spider-Man wields the Stand, Sultan of Swing). As for the JoJos universe, the Joestars are considered pillars of the hero community, with The Stardust Crusaders being considered one of the world's first superhero teams. Essentially, imagine a Marvel/DC One Universe that the Joestars have always been a part of, while still more or less following their own canon, with specifics like team rosters nonwithstanding.

[SUP][SUB]
C H A R A C T E R N O T E S:
[/SUB][/SUP]

JoJo's main power system is the use of Stand abilities, strange metahuman abilities that tend to manifest themselves as bizarre ghosts that are often emblematic of some trait or another of their user. Stand powers tend to be strange if not outright bizarre, with some Stands being able to perform odd, esoteric abilities, like the power to to make anything into a zipper. Most find themselves incapable of developing Stands, which are only rarely granted at birth. Mostly, Stand development results from contact with an extradimensional virus found on the so-called 'Stand Arrows' -- if the virus doesn't kill you first. Some general rules about Stands are: -Stands can stand a short distance separate from the user (hence the name) or be used as an extension of the user's body, as a kind of ghost-skin over their form. -Any damage taken by the Stand is reflected by damage to its user. To kill or injure a Stand is to do the same to its user. -Lastly, Stands are invisible to most normal humans. In traditional JoJo canon, only fellow Stand users can perceive Stands, but here I think it makes sense to include Metahumans, Aliens, and particularly aware humans as people that are also able to see Stands. Jotaro's Stand, Star Platinum, is a blue/purple punching ghost that vaguely resembles Jotaro's Great Great Grandfather, Johnathan Joestar. It is, thankfully, one of the simpler Stands. Star Platinum is superhumanly strong, fast, and incredibly precise, to the point that Star Platinum can easily grab pistol rounds fired at point blank range. In addition, Star Platinum's most powerful ability is The World, the ability to utterly freeze time for ~3 seconds at a given usage.
-Pitching an anime character to a Marvel/DC game is a really big ask, I know; its almost a taboo in the comic RP scene around here. I realize and accept that this severely hinders this character's chance of acceptance, but I thank you for reading this far into the sheet anyway. -So, this is standard Jotaro set against standard Marvel and DC. What gives? Aren't we supposed to get a little elseworld with it? I decided to leave the settings I'm blending here in neutral form so that the admittedly strange crossover goes down a little smoother. -What I'm trying to achieve with this character in this game comes down to the fact that I've always kind of put my feelings about JoJo and my feelings about superhero media right next to each other in my noggin. I think that ultimately JoJos Bizarre Adventure is just another take on the foundations of the superhero genre -- beautiful men in silly outfits battling each other with otherworldly powers. To me, it seems like a natural fit. As well, JJBA is a series deeply concerned with legacy, family, fate, and even the multiverse itself. I think playing with those themes in a setting where you don't typically see this character alongside characters that you definitely haven't seen him with could be a jolly good time.
