Either through passing, doing jobs for each other, etc. It also opens stuff up for most story and stuff. Like hidden affairs, conflict, drama, etc that is always fun writing out storywise.

[@rocketrobie2]'s and my character have intertwined backstories, his being a private investigator and mine being an out of town journalist. We thought of having a nameless NPC being our characters' link but, if anyone wants to take the spot, the character just needs to have hired both of our characters to break a big story about Umbrella.
