That one is one I've got mixed opinions on personally. The important thing to remember is that we're adapting parts of the various continuities, so backstories are definitely prone to change to better fit the collective universe. That being said... most of the Archie Lore that was pre-Freedom Fighters era is probably defunct to better fit with events that have happened in the modern timeline. So, he could exist. Just probably not like how he was portrayed in the past. Definitely hard to make a definitive decision without seeing the full idea.

I like the idea behind it, but I feel like she'd clash a bit too much with the other modern cast. She's one of those characters who doesn't need much reinvention. That's not to say these details should be tossed away though. A lot of this could mesh pretty well with her modern incarnation if used the right way. At the very least, the age would be the issue. I'd stick with the 'official' age as to stay in line with how the rest of the cast is.
