[indent]An aspiring artist, Mari has grown to cherish time spent alone as well as time spent making new connections. Her loyalty to her art, family, and friends is unmatched, and while some more timid men have called this a variation of stubbornness, it is simply Mari knowing herself and blocking out noise. She is capable of charming as well as asserting herself, and tops it all off with a witty sense of humor that makes a loud appearance when she's drunk.[/indent]

[indent]Mari was born and raised in Greater Rochester, NY by a very progressive and pleasant couple that welcomed her into their little family of four without hesitation. She had never known her biological father, and regretfully only knew Rui Lin through photographs and memories recounted by her adopted parents. Rui knew her childbirth would be risky, but chose to bring Mari into the world, anyway. Incredibly close friends of her mother's, Kent and Lauren Moore loved Mari as one of their own. Their residence was constantly littered with family portraits of the three of them and the older Moore sisters, Geena and Evelyn.

As Mari grew, she had always felt a connection to the arts, and the Moores were always quick to remind her that this drive existed in Rui, too. So Mari pursued this passion, feeling in some way it brought her closer to her birth mother. She picked up her first camera in her teens and fell in love with orchestrating shoots with her sisters, who were more than happy to throw on some makeup and wave feather boas at the lens. The three were thick as thieves, and both Geena and Eve had never faltered to specify that she was their 'sister' and not their 'adopted sister'. Still, though Mari would be eternally grateful for her fortune in being an honorary Moore, she decided to legally change her last name to Lin in tribute to her heritage the summer before heading to college.

Craving a change in scenery and a bigger artistic community, she found herself at an arts university in Massachussetts, where she studied and graduated with a BFA in Photography. After graduation and a small period of time living back at her parents' home to save funds, she moved her life to Boston in the hopes to one day open a gallery. She has been residing at the complex for nearly three years now.
