Kay was completely oblivious to what was being spoken about in the kitchen, and despite being highly curious what it was as Serena was allowed to be in the room as it was discussed and not her, she still remained out of the room. That wasn't to say she hadn't put two and two together and figured it must be to do with what John heard last night about her past, but whether it was about her real birth father or her time in Seattle's asylum for youth was hard to say. Instead, she continued to sketch a landscape piece which consisted of the outside of the mill house. In the kitchen Chas could see how enraged John was getting, knowing that kids were his weakness, espeically after losing Astra. Hearing Serena say she doesn't think it should be John because of her suspicions of his personality, Chas couldn't help but smirk darkly briefly. "Something like that" he agreed, yet when Serena replied to John's small protest and he saw how darkly Serena sounded as she gave her suggestion. "And how do you propose we do that?" he asked her. "and I agree, John shouldn't be the one to get involved in this. This needs tact and discretion and I'm sorry mate, but from the way you reacted, I get the feeling you're too personally attached to be able to see straight" he replied.
