Tyrhallan spend the night lying awake pondering the words of his Uncle and what had happened earlier. He felt oddly empty, whilst he had expected to feel betrayed at his Uncle’s revelation. All logic and emotion would demand to feel at the least that…betrayed. But had Uilles truly done so? Could he really blame his Uncle? Just because he had not lost his heart to a pair of fine eyes and had stayed true to his duty did not mean he couldn’t understand his Uncle’s feelings or motives in his weaker moments. Duty often was a mistress that offered you little comfort or warmth. No gentle touch or soft embrace to fall into. Perhaps that also was why he had intervened on Arn’s account. Why he had offered both Arn and Eilis the safety of his family home, because he could only hope that one day those actions would be carried further by others of an equal mind. Though he hoped that he would be spared being stabbed again. He thought as he winced as his wound stung reminding him of the young lady’s particular power. She certainly wasn’t a meek young woman or at least not when she was using her magic. It was rather scary how huge the difference was when compared to her normal behaviour. Well what could be considered her normal behaviour. Everything about that young woman was irregular. She was a mystery. Tyrhallan brought a hand over his face rubbing it and pinching his nose, trying to cease his pondering and trying to find some rest in the final hours of the night, before daylight would demand his time again. One thought however kept nagging Tyrhallan’s mind. If Eilis didn’t really have a choice in all of this how was it that she could apparently take back control? Was it Arn’s doing or hers? Had these things happened before? How much was related to the bindings she bore and what wasn’t. Eventually he fell into exhaustion’s embrace, allowing sleep to overcome his mind and force the body to find some of that desperately needed rest. Eilis smiled before she couldn't help but hug him tighter and press herself further against him, against his warmth, his kind embrace and humming soothing tones. She honestly didn't know what she had done to deserve someone so devoted and loyal to protect her. Even if her life were to end tomorrow she considered these small moments true happiness. As sleep stretched out to claim the couple Eilis slowly felt herself drift away she couldn't help but utter the softest of sentences. "I will always be yours."
