Hm. For Hana, I believe her power scaling falls fully into her becoming more competent with it. If we ignore all the Mary Sues (I'm looking at you Hal), most of the GLs are on the same level power-wise with slight fluctuations. So, it's not like she can really exceed that, and I don't really foresee that happening with her anyway. So, yes, she'll be as powerful as a space chipmunk, which is still plenty powerful.

A fun twist might be losing her ring, but we'll see how things go. 

Anyway, as much as hidden backstories go... Hana's is all out on the table. She doesn't have any mysterious past. The most that'll "be revealed" is if her family decides to visit Seattle or the team ends up in Hub City. Beyond that, she's an open book. There are no girlfriends in her fridges. Yikes (TM).
