Shade looked up at him as he stood, then turned her head when his fist moved, thinking it was coming for her face. It was what had become normal in the cell for her. But then she felt the hand rush by her and heard his words. She looked back up at him and nodded softly, understanding what he meant. Before he left she said softly “I’m sorry for your loss…he didn’t die in vain…those monsters paid and those kids are back with their families…” Then she was alone once more. She sighed and closed her eyes again, waiting and trying to break the bonds again. She had to get out. And soon. After a few hours the door to the cell opened again and three young marines stood there, grinning and chuckling. “Well look what we have here...looks like the captain is all alone in here...in need of some company...what do you say boys? Shall we make her last night on earth more exciting?” Asteria Shade looked up at the men and they saw her eyes glowing purple. She said in a dark voice “if anyone here wishes to see the next sunrise...leave right now. I’m in no mood to be played with and I take my revenge in blood...” the men all swallowed at the same time then ran out of the cell, terrified. Shade sighed and let her head hang. “Few more hours...just have to wait till then...”
