He was the youngest of three siblings having an older brother named Ryan & older sister named Amy. During his childhood his father Robert Hanes a decorated military veteran & general retired from service to pursue a career in law enforcement. This choice made a major impact on Jonah who had a very blatant black & white morality view of the world. Having a strong sense of justice often put him at odds with his more rowdy peers, his sense of justice leading many to label him as boring. Seeking to be an agent of the law one day he stayed away from trouble of any sort & performed well academically.

Upon finishing high school, he enlisted in the military rather then go to college like his other siblings had. After seven years of service he opted to leave behind his army lifestyle to return to civilian life. With the added benefit of being ex-military he was able to obtain a free college education unlike his siblings who'd relied on scholarships & their own money. He attended NYU seeking a degree in criminal justice & minor in psychology both of which aided him on his path towards law enforcement. AFter finishing college he ended up going to work with his older brother Ryan who'd gained success starting his own weapons development company, as he'd nabbed a few big contracts with the United States Military. After two years of working with his brother's organization rising up in the ranks & making a fair share of money he decided to finally do what he'd always wanted to in life. Getting some help from his father & the various contacts he'd made during his years in the law & intelligence he became a police officer back in his home state of Illinois.

After two and a half years of being in the Chicago PD, he was recruited into the CIA as an intelligence officer. This career caused him to develop ample amounts of secrecy in his own life, and played a major role in his developing workaholism. His years of working for the law had caused him to become embittered as his occupation drove him to constantly see the worst in humanity. His idealistic black & white world-view was also tainted by the morally gray actions of many other intelligent officers he was working with causing him to develop several bias's against various groups of people. Irregardless of the fracturing of the world-views he'd maintained for most of his life he still moved up quite rapidly within the ranks of the CIA. He was an essential agent in several key operations he was involved in combatting various criminal elements in America. In recent years he began longing for a family life feeling some regret about devoting much of his time, personal & otherwise to his career. To that end he started a relationship with a fellow agent Amelia Feathers whom he'd worked with on numerous cases during his years in the CIA. Within months their relationship blossomed and the two were married. Shortly after Amelia ended up pregnant with his daughter, and took a leave of absence from the CIA leaving Jonah to be the sole bread-winner. He had second daughter within a year of his first being born, satisfying his desire to start his own family.

He faced many challenges being heavily involved with the intelligence community while taking care of his family but he rose to face them all. But all things must come to an end, and his ability to effectively balance his responsibilities protecting the country with being a husband & a father faced extreme difficulty following the Energy Storm. Feeling as though the energy plague & superhumans it created were a major problem with the country, he was one of the first indivdiuals to be recruited into the company created to monitor & police them. [b]Background:[/b] Jace Williams was born in Chicago Illinois the oldest of three siblings. The eldest, having four years on his brother and two years above his sister. His parents were married unlike many others in his area although his father was a professional criminal engaged in the street life. When Jace was six years old his father was murdered during a drive by shooting carried out by members of a rival criminal organization. This caused Jace to become very over-protective of his mother Tasha, his sister Jasmine, and younger brother Jamal. He strived to be studious to set an example for his younger siblings hoping for them to avoid the fate of their father. When he was eleven his family moved to California to live with his grandmother Chanise. 

Transitioning to California while Jace still strove to set an example for his siblings he was enticed by the criminal elements to provide financial relief for his family. He got involved with gang life & began moving drugs & robbing for fast money to help his family. He was arrested at the tender age of fifteen and forced to do six months in juvenile detention. During that stay he ended up being stabbed which further led him away from a life of crime. Upon release his older cousin and closest role model figure in California was murdered just like his father. Unlike his father his older cousin was his mentor who educated him about financial freedom & other methods to generate income without crime. He was killed as a result of elements from his criminal past, this murder sowed the seeds to forever seperate Jace from any future as a gangster. He took after his cousin's foot-steps, finishing high school and becoming an entrepuner. He ended up starting his own consultation business & managed to generate money investing his proceeds into trading forex & stocks. 

Jace managed to move his whole family out of the hood into the suburbs & recently became a youtuber. Going by the name Jackpot Jace he's picked up a steadily growing following releasing, making & promoting video's geared towards good credit, credit/asset utilization & financial education. During the Energy Storm his condo was destroyed and half of his building was set ablaze. Remarkably he'd been in the lobby at the time finishing a consultation avoiding certain death with other residents on the upper floors. Shortly there-after while shopping for a new apartment he was afflicted with the energy plague. He became deathly ill and informed his family remotely via Zoom refusing to give the location of his hospital even to his mother not wanting to risk infecting his family with the powerful virus. By the grace of God as his mother says he made a full recovery. He soon came to agree with his mother in the sense that his rejuvenation was a blessing as a result of the superhuman powers he was endowed with as a result. 

The power he gained was one he felt truly resonated with him and his yearning to want to change the world by force. He took to the streets motivated by his newfound powers dead-set on a mission to end the pointless violence & slaying perpetuated by his own people in the crime ridden hoods of California. However within two weeks of his street unification project he was shot twice during a verbal conflict that rose out of control with little reasoning. That's when he discovered the true extent of his power as he managed to survive at the had of the barrell. Feeling that talk was futile in getting his message across in combination with seeing the capability of his powers he decided to take on a more brutal way of rendering an end to the gang violence in the streets. First going after the very brother who'd shot him then taking the alias Shade he began his mission of peace or as the media & government has labeled it his rampage of terror.[/hider]

[b]Background:[/b] Floyd had an average upbringing, he was the youngest of four siblings the older three being all women. He was spoiled somewhat being the youngest child & only son of his parents. He was constantly getting in trouble growing up and had a slick mouth. Suffering from high spectrum ADHD school was a huge bore & constant stressor in his early life. Following the Energy Storm he tried to adjust in a rapidly changing world. With the Government focused on other issues he was released from probation early. He quickly developed a knack for mailing marijuana & other drugs back south to begin deriving real wealth from dealing. He expanded his existing real business out to California as well but was struck with the energy plague. After three weeks of fighting for his life he recovered but to his dismay no superpowers. That all changed after having starting a sexual fling with a girl named Luna Danvers causing him to be plagued by nightmares and visions of all sorts. As such they were able to provide a comfortable life for the two brothers, allowing Jason to focus on school. By the time he got to high school he developed a rebellious streak that was uncharacteristic for himself and the aspirations he had in life. He developed & indulged in many vices including marijuana, underage drinking, gambling, & unprotected pre-martial sex. Eventually his parents set him straight after he was caught taking prescription medication off the street.

He'd crumbled under the pressure of being the older brother he always wanted to be & the model son he wanted to be to appease his parents. After taking some time to himself he managed to bounce back and graduate high school with a high GPA. He ventured off into college at New York State University where at first he wanted to major in criminal justice to work in the law like his father. He decided against ita and switched his major to psychology having a keen interest in getting an innate understanding of the human mind. He figured he could change the world only if he could understand how to change people. Around this time his life took a turn for the worst, his father was implicated in a case and sentenced to prison for shooting a suspect during an active crime scene. Jason was conflicted as the media crucified his father as a racist, whilst he knew and loved his father knowing the media was tearing him down for being a white officer who discharged a weapon with fatal results. Jason's world was shattered, and he went to far lengths to hide his ties to his father from the public & the media. He began facing a bout of depression conflicted over his cultural identity & his father's imprisonment for simply cleaning up crime on the streets. It caused him to spiral into dangerous twisted morally gray territory as he sought work as a therapist after finishing college.

He ended up spending his time trying to help people address their own inner demons while ignoring his own. Negative consequences slipped into his life including a heavy drinking habit, chronic smoking & a string of damaged relationships. His personal life meanwhile went on the totally opposite direction as he managed to secure a hefty loan from the bank & start up his own practice. Following the Energy Storm he had a rise in clients and ended up moving out to California with a girl he was talking too named Kacey. Unfortunately the relationship deteriorated within four months of being out there, but he'd established his business out there leaving him stuck. He ended up starting a support group for Altered Humans in the evenings and it was through running that he came down with the energy plague. He was sick for seven weeks extremely ill, his mother even visited him against his wishes. Luckily he managed to recover, but it seemed all wasn't well when he started hearing voices in his head. He feared the worst until he realized that the voices were not from a fracturing of his mental health but the manifestation of his powers. Using these powers has allowed him to conduct the ultimate study on people's psyche his greatest dream come true. But upon finding out more and more about the hidden & sinister nature of most people it's led him down a grave thought process. She also learned to use her looks to manipulate men & also enjoy being promiscuous with those who could lavish her with gifts but also function as eye candy & succesful suitors.

At her age most of the people in this category were guys who were into all types of illicit activities including drug dealing, fraud, & other organized crime. Gradually she grew from someone who just lingered in the presence of criminals to being one herself not wanting to "belittle" herself with any sort of hard work. She was arrested for felony drug possession at the age of seventeen three months before her birthday, but thanks to her parents wealth managed to skirt by with little consequence. Still her father who had dealt with a family tied in a drug abuse during his own upbringing was furious. Her mother on the other hand was wrapped around her finger and didn't want to punish Adora. Her father forcibly checked her into a rehab facility while she was still underage. This infuriated Adora as it was the first time she'd ever suffered real consequence for her actions. This led to her parents divorce as her mother was horrified with what her father had done to her concerned about the damage it could to due their family image if it got out. She was released after a 30 day stay, and eased her father's concerns that she was going down the path of heavy drug addiction.

Still her parents were divorced, and after high school Adora of course chose to live with her mother. Her mother remarried to a succesful relator months afterwards with Adora finding out she'd already been cheating on her father on the side. Adora was thrilled by her mother's continued support of her despite her horrid behavior as well as her cut-throat behavior. She took some time to travel across Europe & some other countries partying & living in decadence. Afterwards she attended college in Miami University where she managed to meet numerous people & grow her social media presence. She utilized this as well as her own beauty to start her own ecommerce clothing line & become a social media influencer. This wasn't enough for her even with her parents supplying all her financial needs. This led her into drug trafficking after getting into bed with a notorious Miami drug dealer. Again her looks aided her as she was able to successfully move drugs without getting caught laundering her proceeds through her numerous business ventures. Against all odds she made it to her senior year majoring in Finance wanting to be educated on the ins & outs of economics. Her extracurricular activities began to catch up to her schooling due to the heavy work intensive courses of her final year. Through seduction & bribery she was able to graduate on time without a hitch. Shortly after graduation she made the biggest mistake of her life, and helped her boyfriend with a planned robbery of their suppliers the Salzaras Cartel.

Thanks to some hired muscle the robbery went off without a hitch, netting them $2 million dollars, and $4 million dollars worth of cocaine & other drugs. They hired contract killers to dispose of the others they hired to help them with the robbery. The lovebirds were to split the proceeds, but Adora's greed led to her making other plans. She obtained proof of her boyfriend's participation in the robbery & ratted him out to the Salzaras Cartel who was scouring the nation to find the thieves responsible for the multi million dollar robbery. Following his capture & subsequent murder, she enlisted her father's help to sell off the rest of the drugs. She'd learned about his past life as a notorious dealer in the late 80's, and while he was furious he got in touch with some old contacts to help her. He managed to net 3 million dollars for the drugs but insisted on keeping 2 million one for helping her & another for taking the risk plus his career not going well. She was furious & fell out with her dad over the money. Shortly after she met, seduced & married a succesful real estate agent named Kareem Zayas.

She was extremely happy to be married to a multi millionaire, but felt trapped in an unhappy marriage due to Kareem's traditional religious views. He threatened to divorce her unless she quit modeling & shut down her fashion line feeling it an insult to his beliefs. Months later the Energy Storm hit destroying their Vegas penthouse but they both survived. Unfortunately she caught the Energy plague & became very ill. During this time she grew close to her sister in law who also had the virus, but she made a miraculous recovery. Her sister in law revealed she'd become an Altered human & confessed her powers to her as well as how she was using them to aid in her charitable efforts. Adora acted happy but in private was furious as she hadn't manifested any powers of her own. While arguing with a man in the streets she discovered her own power. Speculating on what she could do, she turned her newfound gift on her sister in law. Confirming what she believed she was excited with her discovery that left her sister in law dead. Weeks after the funeral she turned her powers on her husband murdering him to inherit all his wealth & regain her freedom. Feeling unstoppable she sought out her own father to get revenge on him for keeping 2 million from her stolen drugs a year ago. Thanks to a relationship with his first girlfriend Nicole Andrews who was already a succesful model & actress he got his lucky break. He managed to star in a few prominent commercials earning a name for himself & living his dream. The pressures of the lifestyle pushed him into underage drinking & promiscuity with Nicole going against his upbringing. It was during this time he faced his introduction to drugs with Nicole, most notably cocaine. After a few benders he felt ashamed of how far he'd fallen from grace & sought to purge drugs from him & Nicole's lifestyle. Soon after he also quit drinking, and having pre-martial sex the latter of which spurred Nicole into cheating & getting heavy into cocaine. Upon being confronted with this revelation he was heart broken & broke up with Nicole right after graduating high school. Desperate to mend their relationship wounds Nicole agreed to go to rehab & also start attending church services with Dean claiming only he could lead her to the light. While reluctant at first he missed his first love & agreed to these terms. Two months later tragedy struck Nicole had talked him into relapsing on alcohol & during this Nicole began overdosing on cocaine which she had relapsed on in secrete. Despite being extremely wasted Dean carried her to his vehicle & rushed them to the hospital not wanting to risk waiting on the ambulance in Nicole's condition.

Sadly the combination of him being very drunk along with his lowered tolerance from not drinking contributed to him loosing control and crashing. He was hospitalized and Nicole overdosed before paramedics arrived on the scene. He was arrested days after being released from the hospital due the toxicology report & charged with DUI involuntary manslaughter. His reputation was dragged through the mud, and his family was shamed. Still using money from his now crumbling acting career he secured a good attorney who was able to get Dean off the charges by presenting evidence of both Nicole's serious drug addiction & the fact that she overdosed prior to Dean's crash. Upon being cleared of all guilt he felt it was a second chance from God & decided to leave his hollywood ambitions behind. Feeling as though the lifestyle that accompanied acting was tainted with sin & temptation that led to his life being spoiled in the first place. He ended up attending college at New York State University, and majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. The summer after his graduation he decided to travel abroad for a mission trip to South Africa to witness true suffering & poverty in the world.

He experienced profound change by the experience, and returned to America with a new perspective on life. He felt immensely blessed & fortunate for both his family & upbringing. He sought out a career at law enforcement, but struggled to get accepted due to his controversial arrest even though it hadn't let to a conviction. Finally with help from his father's contacts through the church he managed to get a job working with the Chicago Police Department who needed officers as gang violence & murder was rising. He rose up to the opportunity moving to the city & working his way up to the homicide department. It was there he met and fell in love with his future wife Imani Riley a prosecutor. After the birth of their two daughters the family moved to California where Dean had a new job opportunity. He was burned out from the endless cycle of violence he encountered working homicide in the windy city. In California he changed departments instead going to work in narcotics. He still harbored feelings of hatred towards the destructive powers of drugs blaming them for ruining the life of his first love Nicole. He made an even better name for himself as a narcotics detective then as a homicide cop. Finally he made his final transition into an undercover narcotics detective working non stop to directly seek out & remove the filth who spread poison to their own communities.

His obsession with his work led to his marriage being strained, and eventually divorce. Still this did not deter Dean who finally felt as though he was engaged with his true calling. Every dealer he removed from the streets caused him to visualize Nicole's final moments of her life slipping away during the crash that had initially soured his reputation. He was nearly killed during an investigation into a powerful cartel mafia alliance moving prescription drugs. In order to avoid death as well as convince those who suspected him of being a narc he engaged in recreational opiate usage. This lasted for about a month before he solved the case, his identity was uncovered and he was nearly slayed in a drive by shooting months later. Once again he escaped the grips of death, but this time entered into another perilous situation. While on leave of duty recovering from his wounds he developed a strong addiction to prescription pain-killers. One that he didn't shake off as he returned to active service days after the Energy Storm tore through the country. His access to his drug of choice increased after he became afflicted with the energy plague. He managed to recover and unlike some other minorities did not manifest any powers. His life became even harder with Altered Humans getting involved with the drug trade in order to cash out their powers. Feeling disgusted with people who'd abuse what he perceived as blessings to peddle dope & aid the agenda of organized crime he had a renewed vigor to resume his mission to cleanse the streets.[/hider]
