[@Bai Suzhen] I'm happy you gained interest in the premise of this story! As of now at this point in the storyline only ethnic minorities have manifested superhuman abilities. However your character doesn't have to be American, for example Alicefalling's character originates from the Philippines. If you take a look at her background you'll see they've created a storyline for them that led them to being in America.
