The Office of Titus
Yuri enjoyed his time listening to Titus. The man's brain was extremely valuable and the man himself was kind and accepting of Yuri even though he knew he wasn't from this world. Yuri was always fascinated by technology and the degree to which they worked in the confines of the base led by Titus was amazing. The various machines doing their necessary jobs proved that with the mind anything was possible. Yuri had crossed his legs and was floating in mid-air sipping his coffee floating around the room as Titus talked. To him, it was better than sitting in his house training. The large mansion-like house sat on the outskirts of Coral City, hidden by the beautiful flora that seemed to protect it from the outside world. Titus has helped furnish some of the technology within the house, but it was a leisurely buy that Yuri didn't regret. All the glass was bulletproof, with a security system that rivals the government. Four bedrooms decorated in a minimalist style each with its own adjacent bathroom, a beautiful open kitchen, a living room with nothing left out, and that was just the top floors, beneath the house was the dojo, the area he practiced in, and where most of Titus' technology came into play. A "danger" room that allowed for simulations to help Yuri hone his skill, a meditation room, and a weapons room. He thought about this as he hovered close to a bookcase in Titus's office that had a picture of the house in it with Yuri sitting on top of the house. One would think Titus took pride in the work he'd put into it. Yuri smiled and turned his attention back to Titus who was still talking. Of course, the world was in an uproar about what had happened. Coral City was under attack and had the alien been successful, it would've surely spread to other parts of the world. They had a right to be upset, but sometimes things were better left in the dark where they belonged. Not everyone could handle the truth. "Sometimes people just don't understand how fortunate they are to be in the dark and not know what's going on. Could you imagine if every time there was an attack they knew it was coming? It's better to let us handle those things. Bringing in the military and all of that only complicates it." Yuri paused to take a sip before floating over to another part of Titus' office. "But I do agree with one thing. I wish I knew the location of the ship that evades even your scanners. If we could get to it, we could remove that thorn." Yuri's head snapped around when Titus mentioned Minerva resulting in a voice coming from the speakers in the room. Yuri scratched the back of his head at her words and smiled. "Lovely Minerva at least someone still has a sense of humor. It's always a pleasure, now if we can get sir stick in the mud here to liven up little things will be great, but I have nothing to do today so I imagine hanging around the base will be fun. Tell me, is that grumpy guard under your employ still here? I swear that man hates me with a passion, or maybe he likes me, I never thought to ask."
