When her wings came out, the aura of hope and light burst out and washed over all of those affected. Serena moved back, her shadows not being able to handle the light as John was already working on a wiping spell. When the aura did it’s job Serena moved and shot her shadows out to block Kay from view and John sent the spell out, everyone there blinking in confusion. 

After a few minutes John was telling people how to get back to the main city. Serena moved next to Kay and smiled. “Nicely done, dear. That was really weird everyone affected showing up like that…” 

John was waving everyone off and sighed, still looking worse for wear. He nodded to Chas and muttered “someone of the magic sort was here…they did something…I can’t shake it off. We need to check around…make sure nothing else got left behind…”
