[@ClocktowerEchos] Pffhaha weird or offensive? If this was a 1d4chan article it'd be a polite and coherent one. I'm honestly impressed the extent of detail you put into this and how you understand the faction right down to the letter, like "Everything is as it should be" in the italics and the Colonia religion referenced, as well as their anti-tank and the soldiers complete lack of human morale/psychology. Though I hadn't considered the wild west before when it came to inspirations...Which is beginning to give me some ideas. I gotta admit the whole idea of their leadership being the highest cost with tons of personal gear is pretty creative, it'd actually match pretty well with the idea of a army with so many expendable mob infantry like this. [s]and I'm happy I'm alone when reading this because "bravery led by Broadway actors." had me slamming the fucking table laughing, as well as the idea of someone actually doing trench warfare in tabletop[/s] Honestly- and I kid you not -the idea of the Augustillian military was actually heavily inspired by the Imperial Guard. Or, at least how its described in older editions I guess. The idea of a bunch of different regiments with wildly different historic armies or pop-culture references, on top of detached or incompetent leadership, as well as using mass-wave tactics were all strong influences. The society was also inspired heavily by Bretonnia from Warhammer Fantasy [s]Especially the "Peasants are property" kind of thing[/s] I can only imagine the nightmare of playing Augustillia in Tabletop though...Having to perfectly measure distances, make sure no soldier is out of line, having metrictons of models to color and then keep count of. And then there is the dice. You'd need so much dice the Imperial Guard infantry blobs would seem merciful in comparison.
